Saw this a few days ago. About a guy in South Africa who becomes a powerful slumlord. I didn't know until watching this and reading articles afterwards how common the crime of "building hijacking" is. I thought the movie was alright. Due to the reviews I read on imdb and rt, I expected more. I suppose my expectations are too high. I keep looking for the next City of God when I watch these third world ghetto/gangster flicks
Nah, that's just his personal preference, but I think City of God was a masterpiece. I'll try to check out La Haine.
Really AG? People call great movies like Scarface and No Country For Old Men overrated on the daily and you want to ban me for a mediocre movie like City Of God? That hurts my man.
