Another great fight, i believe that round four was one of the best I have ever seen. Foreman down twice in 4th round when Lyle connected with a couple hard rights and then a big left hook sent George to the canvas. Foreman got up and seemed as though he still had his composure. Lyle was down once in each of the 4th and 5th rounds. When it looked like Big George was ready for a swan dive in the 5th, he hurt Lyle and pushed him against the ropes. Foreman won the fight by KO in round 5 of 12. Again another great fight..

one of the sloppiest and most fun brawls ever... I think George thought he was just going to run Lyle over but Lyle came to fight

I may be reading too much into it, but I always had the feeling that Foreman was a little surprised, & taken aback, at the staredown. Lyle might've gotten the better of that. When Lyle hurt Foreman in the first, you can see the ex-Champion in his corner, at round's end, lean forward & chew his lip. I think he was expecting an easier night.

There were two things I always wondered...

    1. What happens if the 2nd round doesn't end a full minute early? Foreman had Lyle hurt & on the back-foot when the bell mistakenly sounded.

    2. What happens if the second knockdown suffered by Foreman doesn't come at the end of the 4th? Foreman arose from the canvas to the sound of the bell looking like he'd just awoken from a coma. Would've been mighty interesting to see if he could survive.

I love the way the crowd is going absolutely ape-shit when Foreman has Lyle on the ropes in the 5th, & is hitting him with a barrage of powerful, yet sloppy blows. Eventually Lyle falls, & everyone in the arena is just losing it. How great it would've been to be there.

It was a bit too sloppy for my taste, but undeniably a great fight.
I remember Lyle staring down George at the end of round (2)? when Foreman had him hurt and tried to intimidate him.

It was more in the balance than Hagler-Hearns.
