great point, TFK:bears: I think Brock gets most of his flack for coming from WWE. If he came straight off of his NCAA title and joined the UFC, I really don't think most would have any problem with him getting his shot in only 4 fights.
Had he not lost to Mir in like two minutes I would not have a problem with it. Having a 1-1 UFC record is not worthy of a title shot.
A couple more things to consider. Nog beat the same guy Lesnar did to get his interim title shot. Couture was coming off a knockout loss when he was given a shot at the HW title.
i thought so too, but I guess not. He should have been stripped, and Nuguiera/Sylvia should have been the new champion. Then Brock/Cotoure could have fought for the #1 contender spot, but it wouldn't be as intriguing then.
Couture didn't vacate the title, he 'retired', but due to legal reasons, the UFC never stripped him of their title. The Nog\Tim match was for the 'interim' title. TFK
Not really.... He was on top, and throwing.. but not really causing any damage. Couture will handle Lesnar with ease.
but he still lost. Mir was considered a washed up fat fuck before that fight, and now he too is getting a title shot. :doh:
