New Western Series from Netflix. 2 episodes in. Love the trailer, not so much the show so far. Seems like it's going for gritty, pulpy, over the top good vs. evil............but it's trying way too hard. Seems like it's trying to buck up against typical western cliches and stereotypes, but it's just reinforcing them in ways that have been done way better already. I used to say "Hell On Wheels" was a poor mans "Deadwood" (still pretty good in it's own right). This seems like a indigent mans version of "Hell On Wheels". Anybody else seen it? Does it get better? Somebody convince me to continue watching past the 2nd episode.
I am watching it. Is okay, not great, but better than other crap on Netflix. I am on episode 4. Its starting to get better. Is only 8 episodes and will not have a second season as it wasn't intended to go farther from what I read.
