first...where is the event and what's the charity. Second...were they worn during a fight or new gloves he signed
I personally wouldn't bid on them at a charity event but each signed glove might retail in the $90US range if it's a nice clean signature on a Lonsdale or Everlast glove. There's an outfit from the UK who looks legitimate, selling them for about 50 pounds on Ebay right now, for a single signed glove. Most items like this usually sell for much more then they are worth at charity functions. Will Ricky be there personally?
It's a small local do - not the sort where drunk rich twats try to one up each other. The gloves have been worn by Hatton (though I suspect just for sparring) and they are clearly signed 'best wishes Ricky Hatton'. I think Derry Matthews sorted it out.
Went to the do. Th gloves were brought by someone other than Matthews. I asked what fight they were from and was told 'the Juan Lazcano' one. That piqued my interest, and I was ready to bid. Then I saw the gloves - they were red . . . .
Still too much. Especially if they came with some bullshit story about them actually being used in a fight.
They were used in a fight. Just not a Ricky Hatton fight. £150 for a pair of genuine Hatton signed gloves is a decent price, especially when it is all for<strike> cocaine</strike> sorry I meant charity.
