Golden Gloves Nominations: forgettable films beats blockbusters

    Steven Spielberg's Lincoln leads with 7 nominations including Best Picture Drama,Best Actor,Best Supporting Actor & Best Supporting Actress. Following with five nominations each are: Ben Affleck's Argo and not yet widely released Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. And rounding up the five are the box office turkey Life of Pi and maybe the best of the bunch but not widely released Zero Dark Thirty. Other films nominated in the comedy, musical category are The best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, Salmon Fishing in Yemen,Les Miserables and Silver linings Playbook. What? No Marvel The Avengers? No The Dark Knight Rises? No Hunger Games? No Skyfall? No freaking The Hobbit? If my mind doesn't fail me these films also had glowing reviews even better than some of those that got nominated. Let's wait for the Oscar Nominations in January, but I don't think these popular films will even make it in the ten Best Picture nominees since they usually repeat the same ones from the Golden Globes.
