New receiving today from Netflix that I'll probably watch later tonight. I had seen it once already on the plane trip back from Australia last week, but the family hasn't seen it yet and it was the kids turn to pick a film. I thought it was a fun enough movie the first time around. I always find Jack Black to be entertaining. This role suits him well though I always thought his best casting was in King Kong. Have always had a thing for Amanda Peet as well. Add in Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, and for you Scots, Billy Connolly and it's not at all a bad cast. Thoughts?
I hate these movies that are based on famous novels but that don't actually have anything to do with the book. They should have changed the name
Finally got around to watching this with the family last night. Much more enjoyable than watching it on the plane. Also noticed several scenes that had been deleted from the version that was shown on the plane like when Gulliver's shorts were pulled down and he fell backwards onto the little soldier. Never read the novel so no idea how it compares, but the movie was very enjoyable.
