Not sure if this one has been done before. The best middleweight of the 80s against arguably the best middleweight of the following years. Forget the KO by Nunn and treat that in the same way as Emile Griffith's KO by Rubin Carter. It was a freak occurrence that wouldn't have happened again if Kalambay had met Nunn a hundred more times. Instead, think of the Kalambay who beat Iran Barkley, schooled Mike McCallum and beat a handful of top contenders like Herol Graham and Steve Collins. Does Kalambay stand a chance of beating the Marvellous one?
Dog beat me to it. Kalambay has a good chance of beating the 87 Hagler. The 80-83 Hagler stops Kalambay.
Kalambay gives him trouble but I can't see him winning it. Maybe the 87 hagler as others said, but even then id make him a slight favorite
