No-one likes a braggart, Mex... Anyhoo, I must admit that I'm surprised to see that Andy lost to Vera. I thought Vera was too easy to hit and that Lee would hit him often enough to take him out. He hit him often enough, by all accounts, but not hard enough to finish his man when he was hurt. For all of that, I won't get to see this fight until Channel 5 shows it's FNF's re-run on Sunday night, so I continue to reserve judgment. As I recall, however, I didn't necessarily say that Lee was 'the goods'. I did say, and still would say, that he is a good prospect. A defeat, much less one that sounded like a premature stoppage and in which Lee has KD-ed his man and hurt him at will early, doesn't necessarily mean the kid is a bum. It was actually El T who first remarked two fights ago that Lee looked a bit lost for ideas when he couldn't shift the other guy and was subsequently put under pressure...I remember because I agreed, it was the first big chank I'd seen in his armor...he needs a lot more seasoning with more live bodies, it might turn out to the best thing that happened to his pro career

if he fought duddy as he did last night, he would have lost. I think this fight will be the making of Lee. He wasn't KO'd so his confidence in his punch resistance wont be too bad and he has learned to stick to the skills and hopefully he'll learn the art of tying up. i think its obvious that before last night, duddy would have beaten lee. he can certainly take lees punches and would have done what vera did, trying everything to get in close. however, when lee makes the appropriate adjustments, he will be a force to be reckoned with. He is a very good boxer
