One thing that always annoyed me was the refusal of the media to present a full and frank dossier on the extent of the hell that that man has been living in for the best part of the last quarter-century. All is well that ends well and his life is not ending well, at all.
agree, there is an overwhelmng tendency to make it seem like everything is fine inside, its just the chasse is rusted... its a bunch of bullshit... but a lot of the people around him need him portrayed that way so they can continue to make bank off of his legacy
I remember in Boxing Monthly years ago there was a review of a very cheap and nasty video that came out, it was called "best of british" or some shite- it had all WW1 footage mixed in with the clips of the fights. It also had a piece on Benn vs McClellan, and the reviewer noted how the clip cut away just before McClellan collapsed and was stretchered out. Thats how I see Ali. Its as if every piece of footage we see is carefully edited and put together, and they cut away the bits they dont want people to dwell on.
