Two nights in a row we get the fight for free here in Canada. I believe last night was the first time Showbox has ever been on our cable, I had never seen a full broadcast.
Round 1) Kirkland comes out throwing bombs. Short straight lefts are landing for Kirkland up high and down low. Kirkland stalking, Vera trying to counter and fight James off. Physical round, definitely better for Kirkland 10-9 Kirkland
Round 2: Kirkland comes out fast, and DROPS Vera with a left...upperhookjab. Vera is still on wobbly legs. they trade big punches in the center of the ring. Vera doing well despite the KD, as Kirkland lands a huge punch. My goodness Vera is slow and sloppy, but having some success in between getting tagged. This is a brutal beating so far, and although Vera is still there, he won't be for long if this continues. Vera spun around by a punch at the close of the round 10-7 Kirkland 20-16 Kirkland
vera takes a decent ass whipping. expect dope fiend L to put him In the balls to the walls category. trainer-how u doing? vera-bad! ::
Round 3: Kirkland coming forward landing huge punches. Vera's chin is ridiculous. Both guys slowing down, with Vera finding a home for his "Maussa punches" Vera taking an absolute beating now. one-sided round for Kirkland 10-9 Kirkland 30-25 Kirkland
Ugh. Someone take these two pricks, teach them how to fight and put them on back on ESPN. This is not "world championship boxing"
I used to think Kirkland might beat P.Williams, but not no damn more. Tall Paul would put an ass whuppin on Kirkland.
Round 4: Vera lands a big punch in the first 30 seconds that stuns Kirkland momentarily. It looks like Kirkland isn't sure how Vera's still alive. Very sloppy fight, with Kirkland continuing to land way too many power shots. Vera lands a couple big punches in the midst of the beating he's taking. 10-9 Kirkland 40-34 Kirkland.
