    Haye at HW (SPOILERS)...?

    SPOILERS INCLUDED...BE WARNED HEREWITH

I said before and I reiterate that he is live in a particularly shitty HW division (save Wlad)

For those who have seen him for the first time, were you impressed? I was. I expected Enzo to at least make the mid rounds. But Haye absolutely iced him with the first big right he landed.

    Any thoughts?

You know MTF people will say "I don't know... blah blah blah!" The truth is look at the heavyweight division. Hell yeah Haye could cut the English Mustard! He has a punch! he has enough size.

Obviously he has good power, but we'll have to see how well it does against heavyweights. When he can't bomb someone out, will he be able to outbox them?

Outbox who Whiskey? :dunno: Forget Klitchko for a moment. Who would Haye have to be so careful of in this regard? Potvkin and barney rubble can box but they don't have any power, no threat.

You mean you didn't interpret it as "Since Haye got demolished at Cruiser, how will he do as a Heavyweight?"

I thought it was a discussion BEFORE THE FIGHT, that's why I clicked on. I was actually going to reply, let's see how he does tonight first and then I started reading.

    Reword the title please.

    My point exactly.

Wlad would almost certainly outbox him, but he himself is chinny enough that Haye would have a punchers chance with that right hand.

    The rest? :shit:

I like Hayes's firepower and enthusiasm. My guess is that he will be a bit too small and chinny to face the top two or three guys in the division.

But I still think that Haye moving to HW is a goood thing...and I will root for him.

He's 6 ft 3 and has to boil down to CW something awful, I don't think his size will count against him.

He is still chinny though. That will count when he come sup against anyone who can find his jaw. I just struggle to think of anyone bar Wlad who might in this present generation of HW's... :dunno:

As I've always said; Maccarinelli is a big fucking nothing. This fight proved nothing for Haye. Nothing.

Better than being a HAYEsayer, bro. Honestly, Macca is a scrub. Big heart, big guy...big lack of anything resembling talent and a beard.

I knew Mac was a protected bum beater, but I didn't realise just how much. Even I though Enzo would make it to the middle of the fight. I didn't ACTUALLY think the first thing Hay landed would win him the fight. Jesus...

I DO think you underestimate Haye's potential at HW. THIS HW division stinks. Haye is quick, comes to fight and throws big, big right hands. To beat him, one of those lumbering, slow, dumb robots actually has to throw a shot quick enough to land and tap his chin. Bar Wlad, I can't think of anyone who might do that.

And if nothing else, at least he might make the HW exciting again. I for one can barely watch HW boxing right now. It is repugnant watching that crap. I'd rather watch a Mitchell-Johannson any day.

Don't shit talk, bro. You and I spoke about Macca a few weeks ago. To you, hes's the second best cruiserweight in the world. You thought this was a very dangerous fight and hyped the crap out of it. You know what you said about Enzo, its on record, so don't back-track on that.

The heavyweights aren't nearly as bad as made out to be. They're underrated these days, because every schmoe thinks they're total trash. They aren't. Haye's a good fighter though and I think he can do some business @ 200+. He's a big dude already.

I also don't see how Haye is exciting. Wait till you see him fight some guys his own size. I expect we'll see longer, slower, more methodical fights. He can't go in there and throw caution to the wind like he has against a string of cans (sans Mormeck) as a cruiser.

And yes, Mitchell v Johanssen was a good fight.

Actually, I still think he is the second best CW, though I'd give Cunningham a lot bigger chance now than I would have yesterday. However, that doesn't mean that he hasn't been/is a :

    1. Protected fighter.
    2. A Bum Beater

Even though he is my favourite fighter, Joe Calzaghe was a protected bum beater for a lot of years. Like Enzo, Joe is a Werren fighter. When you are a Werren fighter, they are givens...

No offence, but that's utter bull mate. There is no underestimation about the HW's. They are absolute fucking trash. Not one of this lot, save perhaps Wlad, would have been anything other than fodder in any other HW era.

You don't see how Haye is exciting? 21 wins in 22 fights with 20 KO's and you don't see how he is exciting? He has KTFO of two champions at CW in his last two fights. That not exciting enough for you? Perhaps another snoozefest between those 'underrated' fighters Wlad and Sultan would be more to your taste?

Well, yes, Haye got power, but is a quick stoppage like this really a reason to get hyped like that? Mac's leg were like rubber but he was pretty clear eyed, I think I would have given him a chance if I was the ref. I loved the way Haye set up his shots though, it seemed easy to land big right hands for him, so it was probably a question of time anyway, but I'd have given Mac a chance.

Haye looks impressive knocking out small men, but it is different thing to do that against giants. Juan Diaz is also too fast for them heavyweight bums

But Juan Diaz isn't 6'3" and doesn't boil himself down to Cruiserweight.
