Haye knocks him out in the 7th after having been down himself and nearly out in the fourth (or fifth)....
Damn good win for Haye. Guy can hit hard, I remember how he went through Bonin. My favorite Polish bum :: If anything Bonin was pretty tough
Haye's not very good, but he can punch for real and I give him credit for this win. I picked Mormeck. Mormeck looked simply a better fighter until he got taken out. Haye can punch though, for sure.
Nah, Enzo will be allegedly watching it through Warrenvision, where Haye has made a decent claim as a challenger to Enzo's true crown, as long as he realises he's not the draw and signs up to fight Skelton/Williams/Sprott for his next few fights
Interviewer: How do you feel to be one of seven (british) world champions? DH: To be honest, I'm one of 3 British world champions :bears:
Not really a suprising result. Mormeck wasn't tough enough to sit in front of Bell and win, I don't know why he thought it would work with Haye.
It´s all about the money. And let´s be honest. It´s all about who lands first between him and Wlad.
If Haye is getting dropped and stopped by Thompson, and dropped and almost stopped by guys like Mock and Mormeck, then he has fuck all business at Heavyweight. Fuck all. Against Enzo Mac he will face a very competent boxer with a very good dig, a bigger man working out of a competent gym with a very good trainer. But even though Haye might best Enzo, he has FUCK ALL bidness at Heavyweight.
Wlad is way too much for him. Haye-Povetkin or Haye-Chagaev could be better fights because of more similar sizes but I'd pick haye to lose them both. I like to watch him and he seems like a great puncher for sure, but among the heavyweights he will be destroyed
WTF? Haye is a fucking cruiserweight, as chinny as Wlad is, he could take Haye's punches all day. In fairness to Wlad, he has been taken out by big strong guys who can punch like Sanders, Brewster etc, not cruiserweights.
Azazel, no way. Hey, I am no Wlad fan AT ALL, I would be rooting for Povetkin to KO him. Haye is not a heavyweight. He is quite tall, but he is not built like a heavyweight, simple as that. He didn't look like a bigger man than Thompson or Mormeck. His power won't hold up at heavyweight. Even someone like Povetkin can hit harder.
Because Bell has a better chin and better stamina than Haye. That said, all due respect to Haye. For the reasons I cited above, I didn't see him outlasting Mormeck, and I was very wrong. Got off the canvas to pull it out, no less. Major respect to David Haye, congrats on his win, and nice job calling it, Sir Tam Tam.
I think that Haye could easilly bulk up to 230 without hindering any of his attribute. The guy had huge trouble making the 200 lbs limit. Isnt he something like 6 feet 3 ^^^^ And in his fight vs Bonin, he looked very big and imposing, and quickly got out of there a guy who was known to be tough if nothing else. I think he will carry his power up very well, of course it wont have the same devastating effect that it has at cruiser but he ll still posses one punch ko imo. His problems at hw gonna come mainly from his chin and his lack of skills, wich he wont be able to compensate by size advantage as he did at cruiser. BTW, I thought he looked quite bigger than Mormeck
Total bollox. Is Haye a harder hitter than Sam Peter??? And you know Wlad is landing first, anyways. Haye has had his arse burst by Thompson, a man who went 24 life and death rounds with Chris Eubank, after Eubank got owned by Calzaghe. And he has almost had his arse burst by Mock and Mormeck, limited fighters both of them. And the disrespect Haye has shown for Rees, Woods and Enzo Mac is disgusting. They earned what they have.
I dunno if Bell has a better chin than Haye. I won't argue about the stamina, but I don't think we can be sure about the chin...and I think Haye is far more talented than Oneil and I'm a big fan of the axe weilding maniac. I just wish I bet this fight. Curses.
Canvas-Tripper@200+Heavyweight Division = Better leave that Ambulance engine running. This fuck just shit on half of British boxings best fighters. I sincerely hope he takes a fight at Heavyweight against a live body.:stir: :crafty:
Witter and Rees are the weakest of the claimants but they are legitimate champs. Woods is possibly the #1 175lbr on the planet, never mind legitimate champ. Enzo Mac isn't far behind, his win over Braithwaite was better than anything Haye had done for a long time.
'had' done. Big Truck has been in the chop shop for the past few years. Haye is the legitmate #1 @ cruiserweight now and there is nothing Enzo supporters can say to change that. Haye controls the future of the division.
I had the under......BIG :bears: More than makes up for my stupid fucking bet of Codrington over Bika:notallthere:
witter is far more proven than Enzo, he may have some talent, but its not by fighting some arbi that hell become a legetimate champ. The Braithwaite victory was very good but its is lone one. Rees is the perfect example of a paper champ. Didnt deserved his shot and won vs a very very weak champ, what hell make from now on remains to be seen but my guess is that he wont go very far. witter is miles in front of him in term of accomplishement. No argument on Woods, I think hes one of the most underated and negliged champs in boxing.
