NABF Heavyweight Championship - 12 rounds Chris Arreola 26-0 (23), Riverside, California Age: 28 Ht: 6'3 1/2" Wt: 255 Jameel McCline 39-9-3 (23), New York Age: 38 Ht: 6'6" Wt: 271
Arreola's right is just so sloppy, but he should handle this fight. I guess Steward doesn't remember how McCline used to look.
R1: Good work to the body early by Arreola. He had McCline backed up to the ropes early. McCline landed a nice right hand counter in the first minute. Arreola landed the rest of the hard punches. Some nice overhand rights that had McCline looking worried at the end of the round. 10-9 Arreola
Hatton sitting with the Golden Boy's ringside. Is he going to be on camera to build up the 24/7 debut?
R2: More good body work from Arreola. McCline landed a good left-right combo halfway through the round. He then continued to eat leather. Arreola is outlanding McCline at a 9-1 ratio in round 2. McCline doesn't look like he'll make it to the 6th. 20-18 Arreola
R3: Arreola backs him up again to start round 3. Some nice right hands. McCline again lands a big shot halfway thru the round. Arreola with a big uppercut at the 2:00 mark and McCline answers with a left that had Chris stopped in his tracks. Arreola lands another strong uppercut and McCline unleashes another massive left at the bell. Closer round: Arreola rocked twice but he landed many more punches. 30-27 Arreola
R4: Arreola is all over this motherfucker in round 4. Right hands, uppercuts, big shots to the head. Arreola catches him with a perfect left uppercut/right hand combo that puts mcCline down. He doesn't beat the count. Arreola winner by KO 4. :bears:
Arreola has a much bettter chance against Wladimir's style than Vitali's. That's also the second fight in a row that once Arreola got staggered and then just said "fuck it" and came out and ended it.
What a stinker of fight. This was painful to watch. I don't want to see two fat slow slobs struggling to throw punches ever again. I hope Arreola gets to fight any of the Two Towers so he can get his fat ass KO cold. Today's HW boxers are a disgrace. They should not be called athletes, but Biggest Losers Wannabe's.
Something looks wrong with Hatton. The bruised eyes? No The thong in training? No Oh, wait a minute. He's sober.
Arreola The way Arreola set up that searing right hand over McCline's jab that ultimately spelled doom for him was a thing of beauty, so relaxed and second nature. You are taught in the gym to open and catch the jab in your right glove (for orthodox fighters) and then double jab back, but Chris parried the jab UP, which is a very difficult thing to do that takes hundreds of hours of practice time on. Arreola is a Bad Man.
Paul Williams 36-1 (27) , Aiken, South Carolina Age: 27 Ht: 6'1 1/2" Wt: 157 Winky Wright 51-4-1 (26) St. Petersberg, Florida Age: 37 Ht: 5'10 1/2" Wt: 159
R1: Great round for Winky. Stuck the jab early. Landed with both hands and backed Williams up. Landed a flush right hook that Williams shook off. Williams closed the round strongly but lost the round. 10-9 Wright
