Hide by decision. Byrd doesn't punch hard enough to capitalize on Hides only major flaw: his dreadful chin.

Agreed. Byrd is one of the few titlists Hide could beat. I don't see Byrd doing very well against a guy who is faster than him and punches way harder

I'd agree, but doing so would render the statement I'm agreeing with, false.

I think Hide would knock seven shades of shit out of Byrd to be honest with you. Horrible style match up for Lil Chris

I tend to agree. Byrd is tough though and so I expect it to go the distance, but Hide would dominate.

Byrd is durable enough not to get KOd and smart/quick enough to eventually measure Hide. Even against Byrd, if Hide gets punched square in the face a few times he'll crumble like dust.

When did you ever see Hide take a few good shots and not have a near-fatal panic attack?

Glancing blows and wind KO'd Hide once he was flustered. Saucer eyed, near catatonic

Hide bottled it against superheavyweights, not little spuds like Chris Byrd. Chingangu hit hard.

The point is, once Byrd started punching him in the face (which he's quick enough and good enough to do, even if it takes him a few stanzas) he'd bottle it too. Hide got hit, he lost, he can't win if he can't totally dominate.

It's a fair point. I think Byrd would win too unless Hide could take him out early. Which has a vague chance of happening I guess, but Byrd isn't easily KO'd.

too busy and mobile for a while, but not for 12. Byrd'd put the effort in & take his licks to force a fight as it goes.

I mean if it's anybody but Hide and the styles are as they are, then I agree, Byrd loses but this is the least durable fighter most of us have seen in our lifetime. He can't even handle two way action with Chris Byrd

Remember Interview with the vampire where Pitt finds Dunst turned to ash and he touches her? Herbie Hide.

Pele Reid has the worst chin I've ever seen, probably gets knocked unconscious on breezy days. Hide is bad, but I think alot of is more down to panic attacks against hard punching giants. I don't think he'll be bothered at all by Hands of fluff Byrd

Anyone who thinks Byrd would have a chance to KO Hide is smoking some serious spliff!

Hide wins every day of the week: by decision or otherwise. :Lok:

True but Bent hardly touched him. In round 2 he lands two shots and Hide tenses right up on the first (the action is broken up by a headlock) and his knees do a wee dance on the second. Throughthe rest of the fight he was barely throwing, less landing. I think Byrd would force the issue enough to take Hide into a two way fight since he's so game and durable. Hide would panic.
