Was watching an old dave hilton fight, and they mentionned that he was supposed to fight Milton Mccrory next. Booze and drugs unfortunately got in the way. Who would have won that fight?
I thought you were talking about Matthew. I'd have to watch more of a young Davey to form an opinion. Matthew Hilton stops McCrory.
there's a few of his old fights that popped up recently on yt. Not long before, the only one that was available was the Cusson 2 one, which lasted a big 30 seconds. he doesn't really fight like Matthew. He's a bit more Duranesque, in the sense that he alternate between pressure and being on his toes/jumping, and is very very agile for a pudgy looking dude. his jab is a million time better than the one of Matthew too. He doesnT' have Matthew power, but he's far from feather fisted either. and like all hiltons, he's a hell of a body puncher. his style is pretty much identical to the one he had on his later years, but only in fast motion
The Hiltons were really good fighers that like a lot of North American white fighters of their era were badly managed and badly handled. Their dad seems to have had very little brains. I watched Davey Hilton outjab Stephan Oullet who was taller and had a longer jab, so he's obviously got a solid jab. Probably wins on points.
It cracks me up.........guys like Matt Hilton and Buster Drayton.......what they would have made of a fat spurt midget like Canelo.
As much I would love to say that those guys smash Clenelo, objectively speaking, Canelo is a better fighter than Hilton and Drayton... unfortunately.
