While it seems like a mismatch on paper, Holmes was almost koed by right hands by two lesser fighter than Wilder. Can the bronze bomber pull a miracle?
He has an outside puncher's chance, but theres a 90% chance that Holmes beats the living fuck outta him and stops him. But, Wilder has a better chance against Holmes than he would against Tyson, Lewis, Ali, or Foreman.
Haven't Watched the Entire Fight in SEVERAL Years, But REED Doesn't Recall Gerry Cooney CLEANLY Landing His BEST Shot (Left Hook) to Holmes Head Even 1nce...Holmes DID Admit to Being Hurt By a Cooney Bodyshot or 2 Though... Point Is, a 1-Handed Fighter AIN'T Beating Larry Holmes...When He Knows You're Bringing 1 Weapon to the Fray, Holmes Had the Ring IQ to Nullify and Diffuse It... Wilder's HEIGHT Would Be a Wrinkle Holmes Has Never Seen Before, There MIGHT Be a Scare or 2 Along the Way, But Holmes Jabs and 1-2's the Shit Out of Him, Winning a Wiiiiiide UD...10-2, 9-3 at Best... REED
agREED... Wilder's BEST Chance is vs. Holmes... Foreman and Lewis SHIT On Wilder...Might Take Tyson a Round or 3 Loooooooooonger, Due to the Height Disparity and Ali Absolutely CLOWNS Him... REED
As said before, Wilder has a better chance here than he does against other greats, as Holmes was somewhat vulnerable to the right hand. But his chances are slim as Holmes was just a much better fighter. Larry either wins a wide UD or stops him late.
I mean if Weaver almost khtfko him then Wilder has a shot here But yeah I'd favor a dropkick over a windmill
