Could a prime Evander have beaten the George of 74?

With smart boxing, he could've had a good chance in outpointing Foreman I believe, Xplosive.

    Holyfield TKO 7 "prime" george

the 70's foreman had no stamina, and holyfield is every bit as strong and tough as Ron Lyle, but he has a much better chin and is a much better fighter

I think Holyfield is gone in about 4 or 5 rounds.

Holyfield may have won...but not because of your silly logic. The Foreman of teh Lyle fight was NOT the Foreman of '74..and not just because it occured in '76...but because it was apparent that Foreman had lost the confidence he had prior to his first defeat.

Plus, as tough as Evander was, he wasn't as tough as Muhammad Ali (check the Bert Cooper fight) and as such I'm not so sure he'd be able to weather the early storm the way Ali did in Zaire.

    Still.......

it's a difficult one to pick. Foreman early or Evander late.

That's a huge "if" for Holyfield. He was too brawl happy.

He did become more controlled later on in his career (Tyson fight), but still, I pick prime Foreman to stop Holyfield.

Holyfield would win a wide decision.
