    From Fightnews:

Russian living boxing legend and former undisputed light welterweight champion of the world Kostya Tszyu, who has never officially announced his retirement, now says will not continue his tremendous pro career as an active fighter, according to several well-informed sources in Russian press. "I'm hundred percent sure I shan't be back to boxing. At least, the way you [boxing press] expect me to be back," said Tsyzu tonight in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky during the meeting with Kamchatka governor Alexey Kuzmitsky. "I will turn 39 in two months and that's a critical age. I feel myself young and healthy but I gave this sport 30 years of my life, too much for now. I want to devote myself to other activities. If I continue my boxing career as a fighter it will all be forced out to the background. I know I help children by being here. 50-100 of them will go to the gym following my visit. Some of them will stay there for a while to become future prospects and stars. I think it's more important than my personal ambitions," commented Tszyu to Sever DV media agency.

    Boy.... never woulda expected that.

Did Tszyu beat up on Jackie Chan yet? Is that still happening?

As overrated as Kostya Tszyu was, he'd have sparked Junior Witter in 2 rounds, tops.

a younger Tszyu would've KTFOed last saturday's version of Hatton, that's for sure.

tszyu in his active prime would've handled hatton anyhow.

He was one of the best transplanted Eastern European fighters. :bears:

Very good fighter. Unfortunately, his time as the champ was plagued by lay offs and injuries.

His legacy could have been greater than it was, but he was a very good champion and deserved his status as a top p4p fighter during his prime.

2 is a bit of a stretch. I say Witter goes about 5 or 6 rounds before getting stopped by a prime Tszyu.

1 round is bordering on charity.
