I became a fan in the Amansot fight. I'd love to see him fight Juan! Julio Diaz is a fuckin joke, and proved against Juan that he no longer has heart. Katsidis would break Julio.

Almost a good old Australian fighter, gutsy, tough, no defence, one dimensional, the only thing I wish would have happenned is that he lost by unanimous decision  , ah well, he really must be greek instead of Australian like he insists he is,.. just a tad soft, just a tad  .

None ever said he was great. Having said that, I'd give him an excellent chance at beating Diaz, cause Babyfat isnt great either.

Katsidis seems chinny to me...Diaz might become Mike Tyson if they ever fight.

Casa is Mike Tyson compared to Diaz. Juan simply cant punch for shit! You do have a point though. Katsidis' chin isnt the best, Juan probably could hurt him, but at the same time Katsidis could also hurt Juan, esp to the body where Diaz is soft. Diaz is definitely the better skilled of the two, but Katsidis IMO is mentally tougher and has more heart.

It'd be an interesting fight, pretty much a pick em IMO.

Agreed too, it would be more or less a pick em fight.

Katsidis is more of a warrior, he has more heart and mental strength than Diaz.

Diaz quit mentally in the nate fight and just wanted to finish the fight, like a journeyman.

You just know that katsidis would been gung ho till he was flat on his back.

Katsidis has more heart and power, Diaz is a bit more skilled, disciplined, and has a higher workrate.

I don't think that Katsidis is necessarily chinny, he is just sooo easy to hit, and gets hit often.

Yeah, part of it is he comes in without much concern for his chin.

It was mentioned in another thread, but there were some real similarities to the Mayweather-Hatton knockout...and frankly, both guys put their chins in position to be knocked out. It comes with that style and that mentality.

I've been a Katsidis fan for a long time. His all action style is exactly the sort of thing I LOVE to see in fighters. He always comes to FIGHT, and you have to love that.

I'm disappointed that he lost last night, but he's still relatively inexperienced and hopefully he'll come back stronger for this. He's just gotta stick to what is working sometimes and not go so 'gung-ho'- the comparison made by someone else in another thread to Kotelnik was a good one. Andreas COULD have went to kill Ress any time after Round 7 last night, but instead he stuck to what was working well and worked his man systematically. Katsidis, meanwhile, found the winning formula last night and abandoned it recklessly against the wrong guy at the wrong time.

Kats just has to keep his chin down and his hands up as he comes in to unload with his bombs. Otherwise he'll get tagged again and again.

Katsidis is a warrior though, no doubt. The man has the heart of a lion...

it seems strange to me that HBO didn't hyped up a rematch right away :dunno:
since they love trilogies, this one could be a good one, but Max quickly asked him about campbell.

Anyone who would pick confidently pick Diaz over Casamayor after seeing the campbell should probably stop watching boxing too.

Diaz might have a high workrate and make a loud "hmph" noise when he punches, but he is a..... BUM!

Only in boxing do competitors become bums after a single loss.

don't try to sound old and wise... they become bums when they step up the competition and get clowned by shot fighters.

mws - well if u don't think campell AND diaz were clearly ahead of Katsidis and Casa in terms of ability to box and take a punch.

Katsidis is so unprecise and easy too hit it's not funny. After he started dominating old ass casa i was saying now watch him eat a counter left hook and throw that fight...

It took the best Nate Campell ever to beat Diaz a man with good punching power workrate conditioning and chin. Katsidis doesn't have that package and with Diaz you know what you will get and that beats Katsidis sure as hell.

i didnt say Diaz was a bum, but Katsidis is one compared to Juan...

so it depends were u draw the line for being bummish. I think on world class level Katsidis is at least a bit bummish...

You are a moron. Katsidis knocked through the ropes and nearly finshed him. A bum would not have done that.

I always find it funny when posters use the word bum when talking about world class fighters. I know guys in my gym that aren't even close to that status and I would still never use the word bum when describing them:doh:

Katsidis does remind me a bit of Gatti. I would love to see him get a fight with any Diaz. I think the fight with Casa deserves a rematch IMHO.

You haven´t lost money on the fight either. It´s just shorter to write bum, than to call him a very mediocre or average fighter all the time. The guy is not beating Juan Diaz ever. He´s the Australian Arturo Gatti without the chin, when has Gatti ever beaten a high quality unified world champion in his prime. :dunno:

He was born in the outback, still lives in the outback, but he insists he's Greek, and with the relatively brittle chin he displayed, I'm inclined to believe him :crafty: .
