I saw the odds and decided this would be a perfect throw away bet.

If I win, I'm seriously blowing the money on a few Cuban cigars I can get from a guy at work, and taking the lady shopping.

I have a feeling Gomez will win now but I'm stubborn and not changing my pick. Good luck. I welcome all upsets!

At those odds how could you not? Even if you bet just $20 on the chance that Chinny Cotto might get upset, you'd rake in close to $200. The best one is if you bet on Gomez by KO. It's like 1 to 19. :eeeek:

    Pretty much.

But Gomez is physically bigger, motivated, and this one kind of has a feeling of an upset around it.

I´m thinking about Machado against Dunne. Better odds, better chance imho. Cotto will destroy Gomez.

Way to throw away 250 buxs!!!! Gomez doesn't hit hard enough to threaten Cotto,...and he isn't good enough either.

Cotto will murder this guy, and everyone will wonder how the hell did Gomez get this title shot.

Like I said guys, it's a complete throw away bet.

But there were guys who threw $1000 on Rahman to upset Lewis in South Africa at 16 to 1.

Yeah at the time people thought it was a stupid bet, but it's not like they needed the $1000. They ended up $14,000 richer though.

For me, I don't need the money, and rarely do I see odds get this high (I wanted to wait for them to get even wider). People are seriously under rating Gomez for some reason.

Why would you say that people are seriously underrating Gomez?? Who has he beaten, that would lead you to believe he has a chance here?

Was it his epic trilogy against Jesse Feliciano in which he went 1-1-1?

His win over Gatti isn't much, especially since Gatti has been done since Floyd damn near killed him.

I don't know, he's a bigger guy who has good pop. Cotto has been known to be chinny and he ran the last 3 rounds against Mosley. I have this feeling Cotto may be shot.

Hmmmm...8 Kos in 18 wins doesn't seem like worldclass pop to me. Feliciano was KO'd by Mike Arnaoutis but not Gomez in three fights.....and we all know that Mighty Mike not only can't punch a lick, but he is a jr. welter.

No way Cotto loses this fight. I hope he does because I'd like to see you win...not gonna happen by this guy though. I still don't see how Gomez even gets a shot????

Those fights with Feliciano were like 4 and 6 round fights. Gomez is a guy who makes his power felt over the course of a fight and a lot of his latest stoppage wins have been past 6 rounds.

Cotto begins to fade around this time, and I could see Gomez battering a faded Cotto in the later rounds. The only reason I didn't take "stoppage" at 1 to 19 is I think Cotto may be savvy enough to survive to the final bell.

Gomez isn't exactly known for having the best stamina either. He faded badly against Feleciano in their 3rd fight and again against Ben Tackie. Hell, he even said after the Arturo Gatti fight, he was worried he was gonna gas himself out when he was trying to take Arturo out.

    Already done.

I guess if I had kids I might spend that much a week, that sounds like our monthly expenditures. Besides I eat out a lot.

Like what? I don't know any BMW parts I need that cost $250.

    I say no to drugs.

I have a live in girlfriend. :dunno:

Well he does have a shot at beating Cotto. Why would I waste it on Reed?

Well granted we do eat out at least 5 times out of the week but food is cheap, and there's only two of us.

Also, BMW's have blue tooth as part of the connectivity package, it was $500 extra. I think putting LCD screens all over a car looks ghetto and tacky, and they cost $800-$1000 per screen for BMWs installed.

I already have a $2,100 navigation system, that's the only LCD screen I want in my car.

    As for Gomez:
