How different would things be right now? Would Pacquiao have eventually become the global phenomenon we know today? Or would he even have ventured into the higher weight classes?

You reckon? Maybe. I think he would have definitely fought Hatton, Bradley too, and the third fight with JMM. Probably a fight with Guzman and the dead wife murdering Cunt also. I still think the Floyd fight wouldn't have happened though.

Manny needed DLH to demand big money. I think he would've fought the same opponents but would've gotten less money.

True. Also, you heard Cotto and Margarito slaughter DLH in the press for taking on such a small guy and calling it a joke fight, I don't think they would have fought him coming up the other route.

Manny facing and beating Oscar launched him no doubt. But what he has accomplished before and especially since,...has defined him as one of the best fighters ever.

obviously he wouldve moved up to welter since he can no longer make 140 without starving. ask roach who demands marquez face him at welter if the fight is to occur

It still kinda shocks me he beat Oscar. One of the biggest surprises of my time following boxing.

word. Biggest surprise for me..outside of Jones-Tarver 2 and Tyson-Buster Douglas.

I was 100% certain that Oscar was going to dominate Manny and butcher him. I would have NEVER predicted that outcome.

It's not like Manny has already fought him twice at his best weights or anything. Maybe he will set a catch weight of 143, then not even try to make the contracted weight and just come in at 147 and pay a fine. That's what true warriors do.

True warriors walk down Shane Mosley, instead of retreating, after Shane wobbled them badly.

No one can question Floyd's courage after that fight...

    :giggle: Mayweather true warrior...:giggle:

sure we can question Mayweather "courage"

Did he face the top Welterweights of his time...Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Clottey, Cintron?? ....NOPE..he decided to go for the $$$ vs. DLH, no problem with that anyone would...then he decided to go for Lil Ricky Hatton at 147 were he look like total SHIT vs. COllazo...OHHH so brave...
