If Valero hadn't gone psycho, how he would he have fared vs guys like:

    trash-Khan
    Marquez
    Bradley
    Garcia
    Rios
    Broner
    Maidana
    Matthyse

For all his technical flaws, Valero could fight. His career was so flakey though. But I wouldn't be shocked if he won all those fights. It's also possible he'd lose a bunch too.

From that list, I think he would have put a whuppin on Khan, Rios, Maidana, and Garcia.

Bradley, Marquez, and Matthyse I'm not too sure of.

    trash-Khan W by devastating KO
    Marquez L by late TKO
    Bradley L by decision
Garcia I need to see more of him
Rios W by late TKO unless this is at 140 or something
Broner almost everything points to an L but Boner still hasn't beaten shit yet
Maidana if Valero can carry 140 effectively he wins by TKO
    Matthyse L by late TKO

    Literally.

You'd have to favour him over Khan. He was too brutal and relentless to lose to Khan, sooner or later he'd hurt Khan and then bludgeon him into bolivian.

At one point I thought he was OBSCENELY overrated. When I first saw him I thought "Jesus christ, surely this wild, sloppy bum isn't the guy I've been hearing all this hype about?". He looked like Mayorga lite, but slower and sloppier

I still don't think he was great, but he looked better than ever against DeMarco. Sure it was just DeMarco but he passed a gut check and destroyed a decent fighter. He was definitely a warrior, he had a MASSIVE gash on his head and fought like it wasn't even there, it didn't bother him one tiny bit.

Based on that alone, he would be a real handful for most fighters.

I would favour him heavily over Khan, and also favour him over Garcia, Maidana and Broner. Probably Rios too, though that would almost be a pick em for me.

I think Marquez and Bradley would handle him with relative ease, and Matthysse would probably beat him due to size and better technique, in a war.

Valero could have beat all of these guys. Especially if he stayed with clemente 'BOSS' medina as his trainer or another legitimate cornerman

Valero would have no chance against a brilliant, technical counter puncher like Marquez. Far too sloppy and wild.

I think Bradley would just be too well rounded and good for him too, and beat him clearly.

He looked like a wild, sloppy bum most of the time. He was dangerous because he was tough and relentless.

Even though Broner has yet to be tested, he might soon develop into a guy who'd be too talented for Valero.

And I think Bam Bam is too slow for Valero, that's no pick em.

And yeah, Valero would have iced Khan/

I would have liked to see Valero vs Guerrero.

Valero would have fucked The Ghost up.

Yeah, I think Guerrero has dog in him. Assidis was just too limited to bring it out.

Guerrero is like a more skilled, but less talented Ortiz.

Huh, where does this rep of Guerrero as a quitter come from? Comparing him to Ortiz now??

The only time he's come close to quitting is against that little Indonesian guy, I don't think he's even close to the quitting mental midget that is "Vicious" Victor Ortiz.

He's probably not quite the mental midget Ortiz is, but I don't think he has a lot of heart either.

He's technically more skilled than Victoria, but Victoria has more power and faster hands.

But what's all this quitting business about?

I'm not a fan of Guerrero, but I am surprised about the amount of hate he gets on this forum, and he doesn't seem like a career quitter to me.

I'd definitely pick him over Broner, Rios and Maidana.

Would definitely pick Matthysse to steamroll him.

    The rest are worth debating.

Prime Marquez would mop the floor with Valero. The LW version probably beats him, but would most certainly have to peel himself off of the canvas in order to do so.

The fact that I see Valero as a true LW and too small for 140 has me hesitant to pick him against Garcia, Bradley and to a less degree, Khan.

I can't see how Garcia beats him. Too slow, and basic.

Khan's too chinny, and has too many holes in his D.

Bradley though would probably beat Valero.

Exactly. He fucking quit at home in front of his own fans who drove from all over the Bay Area to watch that Auschwitz looking cracker quit. It was like a week after that stupid Afro-Sloth Clottey ripped half of Cotto's face off in the opening rounds with hi sbig ass bubble head and Cotto gutted it out and won a decision. Guerrero flat out quit. If he had half the heart of his wife, he'd be a great fighter.Guerrero gets a pass for that cowardly quit job. Frankly, it was way worse than what Ortiz did against Lopez. Guerrero had a bad cut, but he was fghting on even terms with a tiny unemployed rice farmer. He quit because it was rough.People, even walk out bout level fighters show more courage than that sickly guedo.

Fuck Valero, that sloppy, psychopathic brain damaged twat was at the end of the line already.......guy was nearly 30 years old and his biggest win was against Don Juan DeMarco. It's sickening how over-rated he became.

He's Tony Ayala Jr. Part II.

Another psychopath who never beat anybody worth a shit and became over-rated because of it.

    :shit::shit:

Ayala would have struggled in his time because of how good the Fab 4 were. But he'd shine if he were around today. Ayala would have sent Canelo to the ER, that much I'm certain of.

I still don't get what people saw in Valero, he looked really sloppy albeit with very heavy hands. Nothing special really.

A bit like Vitali, Valero had great control of distance, he barely took any shots against de marco, complete shutout, and wiped the floor with lesser light and even solid guys like pitalua...could definitely see his machismo and aggression coming unstuck against a larger brute like mathysse, bradley would be a great fight, marquez at his best would take a decision but a close one, khan takes a fall, broner loses by decision or tko, rios gets laid out
