who would you choose? Miguel Cotto Floyd Mayweather Joe Calzaghe Manny Pacquaio Paul Williams Shane Mosley Juan Diaz Manny Pacquaio
I would have Joan Guzman to help me prepare for Floyd Mayweather. Juan Diaz and Miguel Cotto have some stylistic similarities, although Diaz is a couple weight classes smaller. I don't know about preparing for Calzaghe or Williams....maybe Chad Dawson?
I'm assuming we're only talking about active fighters here and guys that are at least close in weight class. Miguel Cotto - See Mosley Floyd Mayweather - Cory Spinks. Just to get used to guys that are very hard to hit clean. Joe Calzaghe - Not sure. Glen Johnson maybe? Veteran fighter who knows the 'tricks' but still has a high output. A southpaw would be better obviously though. Paul Williams - A tall southpaw would be nice, but most southpaws don't fight anything like Paul Williams. Not sure. :dunno: Shane Mosley - Cotto. Physically strong fighter, with good handspeed and has the extra advantage of having faced Cotto before. Juan Diaz - Ricky Hatton. Lots of stamina and always coming forward Manny Pacquaio - Edwin Valero. Not they're the same guy both are agressive action fighters with balance issues that can be exploited. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
It depends also on how the fighter is. If a middleweight guy fought Calzaghe, it would be necessary to get used to his size, so Dawson cold be a good choise. However if a lt. heavy fought him, the speed and activity factors would be essential, so he might go for a smaller guy (Jermain Taylor perhaps)
