Ok, so the rules are as follows

You have to fight some heavyweight champion of the history (undisputed or one who has held one of the top-3 belts)

    The fight lasts three rounds

If you pull a Seldon and quit or get DQd, you get fined 10 000. If you fight and get KOd, you get 10K. If you last the distance, any way possible, you get 500K. If you win, you get 30 million.

Which champion would you fight and which tactic would you try?

Either Chris Byrd or Buster Douglas.

Byrd is unlikely to score a stoppage (I'm assuming I'm a reasonably skilled and tough HW fighter), and when Douglas was the HW champ, he showed up just to collect a payday.

Tommy Burns and I would win 30 million with my superior modern style, skill, size and talent.

He never saw a such thing as doubling up the jab.

His corner probably wouldn't have an answer to such dynamic tactics.

Definitely an early one. I'll take my pop at Tommy Burns, just because he seemed quite gentlemanly & decent.... & he's small.

anyway..my tactic would be to run..then as soon as he gets close...duck and clinch. When ref seperates...leap in with a hook or something (hoping for a lucky KO...and keeping him honest momentarily) and when that doesn't work...reset and start over again with the same spoiling tactic.

I would fight Marvin Hart. I would just back peddle screaming "you ain't the real champ, Jim was wrong, Jim was wrong" and pretty soon he would collapse into a heap, sobbing.

I think the idea is that you are you, not some "reasonably skilled tough fighter", that 500k would be WAY too easy if that was the case.
Me personally I'd just settle for the 10k knowing full well that any heavyweight champ in history would knock my block off in under 3 minutes.

Valuev. I run away and every time he gets within a metre I take a knee. Three knockdown rule is not in effect. :mj:

Wlad Klitschko. I'd definitely last 3 rounds, he doesn't even start throwing right hands until around the 4th or 5th.

No matter the opponent, I'm sure if they were briefed on the fact they were fighting a man from the street, most likely without anything more than a passing sphere of experience in the sport first-hand (if even that, in a lot of instances), almost anyone you could name would lighten up a good deal.
