I recently got to sit down with Light Heavyweight Champion, Bernard Hopkins. He was his usual honest self, talking about The De La Hoya photo scandal, as well as the future of the middleweight division. He was at Comcast Sports Net, helping to promote the “Fighting Cityâ€￾ series of matches recently recorded for broadcast, in which he was a guest analyst. He doesn’t always say what you want to hear, but he always says what he believes, and you have to respect that.

Actually I thought he let Taylor off the hook a bit. He could've really torn him up even more, calling him a bitch who'd get it up the ass on D-block or wherever it is in the hood where brothas get raped by fellow brothas.

I like Bernard because he always has something to say. His interviews are never boring.

However he still thinks at this stage he puts carreer changing beatings on his oponents like he did with Tito. He is still good for his age but no way is he responsible for every oponent being gun shy after facing him.

I may be a bit old fashioned, but that's no way to speak to your father. Bernard had best be quiet or I'm afraid Jermaine might have to give him a third consecutive arse-whipping.

He is absolutely right about Taylor. Taylor is a creation. Good for him! :bears: You know people think somehow that Bernard or any fighter who is robbed ought to let that go... I don't. And exposure is a good word for what Pavlik did to Taylor.

Taylor never beat Hopkins. In the first fight Hopkins beat him badly and had him stuttering around the ring. Taylor's prospects should have been limited by raising the right guy's hand right then and there... period.

Finally the proof is in the pudding. Taylor will look like Lacy real soon.

I hate to toot my own horn, but this article shows you why FightBeat is well liked and received in the industry--because our articles don't look like they were written on toilet paper like most other sites.

In the next week or so Fightbeat will be releasing a new feature on the site which will continue to help us compete with the top sites on the net.
