At 160 I guess? I'd want to take Mugabi and his big 1 punch power, but seeing him ko'd at Jr middle , I'd probaly take Barkley and his huge heart to outlast him and win by dec or late tko. Either way this would have been good.
His KO losses at 154 all came after Hagler pretty much ended his career with that beating. Barkley mighta folded earlier under that Hagler assault.
True, Mugabi never looked the same after Hagler. The bombs that Barkley took from Hearns before winning though make me lean towards him. Although I don't think Barkley would have had as nuch success vs Hagler as Mugabi did.
Maybe Hagler destroyed Mugabi, but Maybe Mugabi was SHIT to begin with. "Like I said before" Mugabi had a similar KO streak before running into "Terrible" Terry Norris :: and we all know what happened in thatfight. Mugabi is the single most OVERRATED punk on this forum. Jermaine Taylor (the most underrated) would have RAPED that tiny one dimensional African scrub! opcorn:
I agree completely. Mugabi's whole unsuccessful career is based on that fight.......which he lost by stoppage. And in Hagler's next/last fight, he got beat by Leonard. If the Marvin Hagler that butchered Mustafa Hamsho in their rematch woulda stepped in the ring against the very best Mugabi......it would have ended in three rounds or less. Iran Barkley woulda kicked Mugabi's ass..... and Iran ain't going to the BHOF, if ya know what I mean.
Perhaps. But theres always a chance Mugabi could catch Bark early the way Benn did. But then again maybe not, Mugabi wasnt as good as Benn.
