It is truly remarkabe that a guy has come up from flyweight and been a top fighter in nine different weight categories. It seems to me that Pac is actually getting better as he comes up. I think 140 is the perfect weight for him: he has enormous speed advantage over anybody, he has enough reach, his power is still there, his chin can hold up and his frame is big. In the lower divisions he did not have he same speed advantag: people saw his punches better and were able to counter him better.

Floyd on the other hand was bette in the lower divisions IMHO since he did have the speed advantage but he also punched hard against super feathers. In the bigger divisions he is not as effective because of styles.

It's Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Toooooooooo EARLY to Say That...Sure, Manny DESTROYED Hatton, but REED WASN'T Sure that Hatton was the BEST Current Jr. Welter Anyways...

Manny's a BEAST...A SPECIAL Beast, but he's Gonna have to Pick & Choose his Way thru 140-147...He Definitely WOULDN'T Barnstorm his Way Thru those Weights & Come Out UNscathed...

I think so.cutting 130 effected his performance...to no disrespect to those who fought him there but he looked like he was on the decline as some people on here put it

I wouldn't throw manny into the 147 lbs mix if I were Roach. Except against a small WW like Cotto or Berto. Mosley might be too much to handle, even though I give Manny a chance given Mosley's age. Williams, forget about it, Margarito might beat him up too.

NO, the "Fire" ISN'T Back...Manny's just Fighting BIGGER Men, which INCREASES his OWN Advantage in Speed...When Roy Jones WAXED Ruiz, it's NOT like Roy was even CLOSE to his Prime, but Fighting a BIGGER Guy INCREASED Roy's Speed Advantage...OR, You Could Say that Fighting LARGER Men has SHARPENED Manny's Focus...

REED Thinks Manny Could STILL Make 130 & Fight Effectively...Obviously he WON'T, but he COULD...

Well, the BOTTOM Line is, Manny Pac is a Fuggin BEAST...130, 126, 135, 140, 147 or WHATEVER...That LITTLE Motherfucker is a BEAST!!!...Guys will SHIT on Hatton in the Aftermath, but Dude was THE MAN @ 140 for the Better Part of 5 Years...UNDEfuckingFEATED @ that Weight...Yet Manny CLOWNED him...

Manny Treated Hatton as if Ricky was the "Little" Guy...

Carrying power up is one thing (which is rare, and amazing in itself) but for me the truly remarkable thing is his speed.

Manny has always been extremely fast, but the downright freaky thing is that he is JUST as fast now with the extra weight. I mean, he is at 140 pounds but he is as fast as a FAST flyweight. He made Oscar and Hatton look like they were in slow motion.

And that is a huge advantage for him now, fighting bigger, slower opponents, and being as fast as he ever was.

Couple that with the fact his chin has improved at the higher weights, can still hit like a mofo, and he is a very, very hard man to beat at 140.

Williams vs Pacquiao would look comical.
