Whether the rematch goes forward or not, and whether he wins it or not, is it already safe to say that the little spurt fighter's legacy is badly damaged, if not ruined?

At the end of the day, 20 years from now, Clenelo might just be remembered as a guy who got schooled by Floyd and turned to the juice.

You need to first have a legacy before you can ruin it.

I don’t think it will affect him that much in the long run. Look at how many other fighters have been linked to PEDs and it’s not too often talked about. In the end, Canelo will probably be a good to very good fighter who was very popular. I think people will remember the judges favoring him more than him using PEDs

If he wins, nobody will care about the clen thing, bar a marginal fringe of the boxing world.

Hell toney tested positive for deca, which is a million times more potent than clen, and nobody refer to him as a drug cheat

He'll be remembered as a good fighter, but in this day and age, when PED users seem to get a pass by the masses, it probably won't be as big down the line as it is now.

Wold you give a shit if it was determined that Tyson juiced in the Kevin McBride fight?

I don't really mind if any fighter juices. But let's not pretend that the Ruiz fight was irrelevant for Toney legacy

Back to your question, if Tyson got caught roiding against McBride, It would have put a cloud of suspicion over the rest of his carreer

Yeah, a fight where a former mw is fighting for a hw title, has no bearing on his legacy
Another fine proof of your imbecilty, and another reminder of why it's futile to try to have a discussion with you

    lol heavyweight "title"

    Maybe to you and mikE

Anyway it should be fairly obvious that I was saying the PED thing itself had zero effect on his legacy

Proof? Until you brought it up, I'd forgotten about it... I suspect many would say the same

Toney's legacy is that he was once the world's best Middleweight

I don't see it at all, but I guess we have to entertain the possibility of cardiac Dan being correct.

Derevanchenko would be ideal for Golov, because he's an offensive fighter who's there to be hit.

Golov would not look good against BSJ, even though he'd win.

    I think so as well.

I'm not super excited about the rematch anyway, so I don't give a shit if it's cancelled.

If the rematch gets cancelled, my prediction is Golov fights that punching bag Spike O'Sullivan.

I feel the same way. The first fight really didn't live up to the hype for me, it was merely decent. Canelo is just a fairly boring fighter, and I don't see the rematch being much different.

Really surprised though if the fight is cancelled, I thought this suspension was just a front for sure.

Please don't let Sly see this. Soon he'll be pushing the narrative of "Only ONE MAN beat Cotto without cheating."
