After 3 Rounds, Julio has CLEARLY LOST All 3, he's NEGLECTING his SUPERIOR Footwork, FAILING to MOVE his Head (AT ALL) & Staying CLOSE to Juan (Shitting on his OWN Built-In ADVANTAGE in HANDSPEED)... @ the RISK of Julio WINNING, REED has Started this Thread PRIOR 2 Round 4, to Tell Julio & the MASSES just how DUMB he's Fighting... REED
I'm not watching it, but I think the ego of "the Mexican Warrior" kicks in and makes some of these guys stand in there when better sense says, "box you fool".
And the funny thing is - he keeps trying to look slick and pose and defend while he's getting smacked instead of countering or firing back.
Over TIME, Sure, Juan's Pressure WOULD have NIXED Julio's "Boxing" Ability... But Dude Came Out from Round 1 Standing Right IN FRONT of Juan...After 4-5 Rounds, he ATTEMPTED to Move, but by then, he was FATIGUED & it was Toooooooo LATE... Julio was Gonna Get KO'ed Regardless, but he Made it even EASIER for Juan than it SHOULD have Been...Dude BARELY even Put Up a Fight, Honestly... REED
Agreed...I think the result was inevitable because even if he were to move and counter, Julio is just a bit too porous in his defense; and Juan would eventually smother and corner him. But Julio certainly could have given himself more chances and been more competitive had he used his advantages. Peace.
when julio was able to catch juan coming in it didn't matter. juan walked right through it. l.w. division is thin at the top.
My only problem with the way Julio was that he froze early in the fight. I expected a competitive fight early with Juan pulling away late. I didn't expect Juan to dominate him early. Sure Juan was faster but Julio was gun shy from the get go. Since he wasn't gonna move around and stood in front of him he should have let his hands go. I really don't know what Julio was doing. He froze early and in about 3-4 rounds he was so worn out it was just a matter of time before somedy stopped the fight.
He was letting his hands go enough to beat most fighters. problem is Juan Diaz doesn't stop throwing and doesn't even break sweat doing it.
Early, yes....but as the rounds went on and the frustration mounted, his workrate decreased, in spots significantly. As expected. And he wasn't sitting down on his punches. Of course it was due to Juan...that was the idea behind everyone's predictions! Peace.
