Alvarez-Kawajiri was awesome, Alvarez koed him after being badly hurt

Aoki style makes it look like they are playing patty cake, not fighting

They are meeting in the final

I don't care what anyone says, Eddie Alvarez is the winner of the tournament. It's a shame they wouldn't let him continue, because you know he would've KO'd Aoki.

This guy has been my favorite fighter for a long time. I watched him fight live several times when he was first starting out and fighting at The Rex Plex and in AC. You knew this guy was something special.

He's one of those rare fighters that seems to be good at everything, and not have any glaring weaknesses. Just the way he stays so composed when he gets hurt, and when he gets put in a sub attempt, as he showed in the Hellboy fight. His sub escapes in that fight were sick.

Anyway, here's his fight against Kawajiri from today....

Based on his wins in the tournament against Dida, Hellboy and Kawajiri, in my opinion, he's at the top of his division, and Top 5 P4P.

He got cut under the eye, and it swelled up pretty good. He begged the doctor to let him fight in the finals, but the doctor wouldn't allow it. Hellboy, who Alvarez beat in the quarterfinals (great fight, youtube it if you haven't seen it) won a qualifier and took Alvarez's place in the finals.

Hansen says his first 'defense' is gonna be against Alvarez, but I don't think Hellboy wants any part of a rematch with Eddie. Also, I think EliteXC is gonna start pressuring Eddie to fight for them. He's got star quality written all over him. He's a great fighter, and he's never in a boring fight.
