Do you know of any? Name them. Denzel is the best actor that I have ever seen.

Yes, many. Denzel doesn't really act much. Denzel is playing himself on screen in different situation. He has some great movies where he plays himself being more emotional than other times.

As far as who is a better actor, i would say

    Hanks
    Lewis
    Jeffrey Wright (great theater actor)
    Viola Davis
    Dicaprio
    Cate Blanchet

DeNiro and Pacino are still alive. Edward Norton is a real chameleon. Heck, even Steve Buscemi is better than Denzel as he can do any genre convincingly!

As far as every shit-trolling one-post-thread created by Rainmaker goes....even this is a bit ´out there´.

    Many...
    Daniel Day-Lewis
    Kevin Spacey
    Anthony Hopkins

Denzel is a great actor....and even better at picking his roles.

There's better actors in history than Denzel.

However, you can make a strong case for Denzel being the most charismatic actor of all time.

Lmao at Kevin Spacey and Steve Buscemi. And 'charisma' is kind of a big thing with an actor...

It's fashionable to praise character actors but there's a reason Gary Oldman is Gary Oldman and Denzel is Denzel. I love me some Gary Oldman but he has his place on the big screen.

Bruce Lee was more charismatic. People went to his movies to watch HIM regardless of the role or the plot of the film.

Denzel has more talent and charisma in one testicle than Johnson has.

It's arguable. Denzel's performances in crimson tide and Malcolm X are as good as any two spacey performances if not better.

Yep. Him too. You always knew that Arnie's movies were worth watching even though he played himself all the time.

I'd put Denzel's best performances up against those any day of the week.

Crimson Tide, Malcolm X, Training Day, Glory, The hurricane, Philadelphia, Man on Fire and the list goes on

Out of that bunch I'll take only 'The Hurricane' as a great performance that made me forget I was watching Denzel. All the others are typical Denzel playing himself (yes, even Malcom X!).

The criticism id lay at denzel is that ive never seen him in a role that showed any real vulnerability...every character basically exudes dignity or power or extreme competence, it'd be interesting to see him play against type.

He played a quadriplegic in the Bone collector, but I guess you can still argue that his character had dignity.

In the film, Flight, he was a struggling alcoholic; competence yes but a real vulnerability also.
