I'd heard it's bad to wear them, but I thought it was only bad if you ran in them. I want to increase the size of my calves and thought this might be a way to do it.
You'd be better off training the calves in the gym with weights and stuff. Calf Extensions with massive weights, etc.
ankle weights can be great I have a good friend who has 2 kids.. he works out at home and for Cardio puts the kids in a double stroller and puts on two 5lb ankle weights and walks them for about 2 miles a day, up a big ass hill! great workout! I don't know if it will make your calves much bigger, unless you are raising up on your toes a lot...
