Well i just checked boxrec and it's going to be in California on a Saturday. That would lead me to believe it will on one of the Latino channels.
:: Well that means it wont be on HBO since Casamayor-Katsidis is that same night. I wonder if Showtime will pick it up. Its actually an interesting fight.
Nevermind, I stand corrected. I just looked up the location and Katsidis-Casamayor is also in Cali. So that means Witter-Hopkins will be on the undercard. Whether or not HBO will choose to air it is a different story, cause they'll be showing the replay of Pac-Marquez II that night. So idk if they're just gonna show the replay, then Katsidis-Casa, or if they'll show all three. I hope they show all three, but I doubt it. My guess is Pac-Marquez gets shown instead of Witter-Hopkins.
Hopkins is a Golden Boy fighter, and they can hype Witter on the simple face he's in line to fight Hatton. I'm sure it will get televised.
Seriously, it's about Time Witter Gets ANOTHER Shot on American T.V....The Zab Fight SHOULDN'T B Held Against him Anymore:nono: ... REED has Seen Demetrius Hopkins on T.V. 5-10 Times, yet Witter's Only Been on 1nce???:dunno: Hopefully HBO Steps Up... REED
I'm pretty sure Tubby from ESPN.com reported it will be aired on B.A.D., along with Katsidis/Casamayor and the Pacquaio-Morales replay. Similar to the way they did Guzman-Soto, Mares-Marchiano, and Cotto-Mosley.
Agreed Moreover, I hope Witter doesn't fuck things up this time around and actually gets the job done and in good order. Mark my words, this is a HUGE fight for Junior, as he absolutely has to build himself a profile in the US if his hopes of forcing Hatton into the ring with him are to be realised. Hatton HATES Witter, and his title alone will never be enough to bring Hatton to the table. What Junior needs to bring is $$$. Fighting on TV again in the US is his BIG chance to start moving along the path to making this achievable. MTF
I remember coming onto the boards years ago hyping Witter and getting laughed at by people on this board. Well whos laughing now?? I am and I will be laughing when he absolutely liquifies yet another hapless opponent. Although it will be hilarious to watch how the haters react. One thing is for sure, after this fight, Hatton won't be able to RUN OR HIDE anymore. :cheer:
100% WRONG What the hell makes you think that Hatton will fight Junior just because Witter beats D-Hop (presuming he does)? Last I checked, Hatton was looking to fight Gavin Rees  If and when Witter fights and beats Paulie, in Vegas, attracting a large crowd and getting a large purse, Hatton will come out to play. Until then, the Witter-Hatton fight just won't happen.
When Witter absolutely liquidates D-Hop, his stock will rise exponentially and people will be clamoring for the fight. On both sides of the pond
It won't rise 'exponentially', but an impressive performance would definately see his stock rise. Bottom line is that, as alluded to by REED earlier in this thread, Witter's stock in the US is a low as a snake's belly after the Judah no-show, so the ONLY way is up, to be frank. You have to be realistic. Witter needs to beat D-Hop, as impressively as possible, then have a few more title fights Stateside. Start headlining rather than being an undercard attraction (no pun intended). Then go after Paulie, then Hatton.
