Did Tyson ever provide a studio analysis of this fight at any point?
Also, when Tyson was calling for a rematch, why did Don King not push for one?

Mike is probably still feeling that uppercut today. What a punch that was...

I saw the fight live at a relative's place and couldn't believe it. I immediately called a few friends and told them. It took me a while to convince them i wasn't bullshiting.

The fact this fight has been played on ESPN (TSN in Canada) Classic about 10 million times has annoyed the hell out of me though.

I remember watching it on HBO thinking this was going to be just another Tyson walkover.

I was just waiting for Tyson to turn the tide and get Buster out of there. It felt inevitable.

I couldn't believe when Douglas got up from that knockdown. I thought he was done.

I firmly believe Douglas actually getting up was the unraveling of Mike Tyson's entire career.

That's the night we found out Iron Mike was a frontrunner. I don't think Mike could believe Buster got up either, and it was lights out for him right after that.

I actually thought Tony Tucker coulda handled Tyson if he hadn't broken his hand in the first round. But Tucker lost his heart.

I remember I was wearing a red jumper when that happened. Such a shock, nobody saw that result happening, although my dad said he did, but I don't believe him. Biggest upset in sport, no doubt.

Tyson had way too many easy fights where his opponents just laid down for him without any resistance, basically scared sh*t.
Douglas just went out there and fought the motherf*cker. And Douglas wasn't exactly hot sh*t. Just a tall dude with average power and skills. Way too many of Tyson's opponents allowed him to do as he pleased without even trying. The power of intimidation you can call it!
Tyson's second run was pretty good too, guys like Seldon and Bruno were scared out of their minds. Holyfield didn't fall over for this guy like many thought he would.

Agreed. Flush and powerful. It's a testament to Mike's chin that he wasn't dropped by that shot alone.
