Yup. Y'all know what it is. Post some mismatches between any two guys you'd have liked to have seen. I'll start:

Alfonso Gomez vs Duran: I hate Gomez! Woulda enjoyed every minute of Duran ending his life.

Margarita vs the 147 Tito: Margarita couldnt cry robbery in this fight. He'd be too busy heading to the hospital.

168 RJ vs Jeff Lacy: Never has there been a fighter more tailor made for a prime Roy than Lacy.

Prime Tyson vs Lamon Brewster: I hate Lamon Bumster for some reason. Woulda loved to have seen him fed to a prime Mike.

Sam Peter vs A prime Bowe: Big Daddy woulda wiped his ass w/this slow bum w/no problem at all!

Julian Jackson vs Mayorga: That payaso Mayorga might have literally died at the hands of Jackson.

Tommy Hearns vs Margarita: Just cause I hate Phony that goddamn much!

Taylor vs Hagler: Marvin beats the stutter outta him!

William Joppy vs G-man: Gerald blows Kirk Franklin's twin away within 3 rounds.

Gatti vs Pryor: Make sure this one is held in AC! Just so Arturo's fans can see him executed in the ring.

Ward vs a prime JCC: Julio beats the piss outta Mickey Mouse.

Vaselino Fruitass vs Edwin Rosario: The Brazilian fag gets put out brutally!

Zab Judah vs Ray Leonard: Zab wouldnt see past round 6.

Maybe you're right. At 135, De la Hoya was good at beating up jr. lightweights. A great mythical mismatchup might be matching him up with Duran.

 

Duran kicks Oscar's ass at ANY weight! But he def stops him at 135.

 

DLH beats Duran at 135. Oscar was a monster at that weight.

 

Duran sucked at 154. Oscar wins there.

Oscar sucks at 154 also. All he ever really did at that weight is beat shot versions of Vargas, and Mayorga. He never beat anyone as good as Davey Moore at 154.

Vargas was nowhere near shot at the time and he was twice the fighter Moore was. Castillejo was probably as good as Moore

Why do you have this campaign against Duran? Is it because you are trying to deflect criticism from Hatton by making the point that Duran was similar?

This is relatively recent from you.

Granted, Duran did employ clinching at times and he was often a mauler; but not nearly to the extent you are claiming. You also have to factor in that most opponents tried to clinch HIM as soon as he got inside given how good Duran was there.

To your point, yes, Duran very much employed rough-house tactics and fouls vs. Moore....but he also beat the crap out of him by outlanding him to head and body everywhere.

I kind of agree with you that Vargas wasn't "shot" when he faced DLH - and he was roided to top it off.

Castillejo is a European fighter, and traditionally, European fighters are twice as strong as American ones. Thus, Castillejo is at least twice the fighter Davey Moore ever was.

Taylor would have very little chance of winning Hagler but he would make a fight out of it and could well lead on points early. Hagler would eventually wear him down, but he wasn't a murderous puncher nor a speed demon. Taylor would hang in there
