I'd kind of wondered for awhile how this guy continues to be a fairly big player as a boxing manager. I suppose it's easier to figure out why Floyd wanted a gangster as his boxing manager, as Floyd seems to be the Frank Sinatra of boxing with his wanna-be gangster complex. Prince had Chico & Roy as well. Floyd apparently had to come running to Arum to pay Prince off when his goons came and scared him. Floyd has obviously come a long way in terms of box-office value since then (and especially since leaving Top Rank). As for Corrales, taking into account all the good fights Chico brought us, and the opposition he fought from 2003-05, you would've thought that the guy would've be on HBO making more money than he did. Coming off the wins against Casamayor and Freitas, Chico followed it up by making $500k in the greatest fight ever. The Bible-Thumping Andre "Son of God" Ward also employs Prince as his manager. Is there something I'm missing here, and Prince is more successful as a manger than I've noticed? Or does he just have a Don King-like ability to schmooze fighters? <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rL9ihXiFAko" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Sinatra knew gangsters....Louis Pacella, Carlo Gambino, Jimmy Fratianno, etc. Prince knows....Floyd. I'd say a lot of anything Prince has is as much down to the trademarked, time-honoured stupidity of fighters as anything else.
Prince is straight up gangsta. Little known fact: one of Prince's Geto Boys members fought a few pro fights. Willie D (William Dennis)
prince is definitely a gangster. a drug dealer. a money launderer. a smooth talking guy who has connections to the bay from when he put oakland rapper seagram miller on rapalot records. r.i.p. seagram by the way. as for willie d, he got leveled
Prince is a gangster. He was even the target of a huge investigation for drug running and there was even a hearing on whether or not the investigation was swayed because of political donations. http://bulk.resource.org/gpo.gov/hearings/106h/74430.txt

Though Never a Fan of Spinks', Particularly, REED was Still Pretty THRILLED to See 3 Boxing Guys he Recognized, just Chilling by a Slot Machine...So REED Walks Up All Excited, Hand Extended, Calling them "Mr._____" & Such....Spinks Half Assed Acknowledged REED & Cunningham CARRIED the Convo for the Most Part...VERY Nice Dude... Then there was James Prince, who COULDN'T Have Cared LESS about REED...Didn't Respond @ All when REED Said, "What Up Mr. Prince", Looked AWAY when REED Made Eye Contact & was Completely UNinterested in a Handshake & Small Talk...VERY SMALL Guy, but U Could Tell he had a Very HIGH Opinion of Himself...
