I didn't see the fight yet but I read both were exhausted around 7 seconds into the fight. Good run for Thompson though. Defeats Pudzianowksi, Sapp and Lashley in recent months. Sure they're not world beaters or even close to world beaters or even on the same planet as world beaters but for a professional loser like Thompson is quite the run! Especially considering before he first beat Pudzianowski he was 1-8 in the last nine. I'm guessing they will try to match him up in India again against Duffee for the summer.
Okay I watched the fight. It's on youtube. It was a mildly entertaining sloppy clinch fest with some sloppy slugging thrown in. Thompson looked beat up by the end of it and Lashley was exhausted. Both were but Lashley looked dead in there. Lashley just doesn't seem to have a mentality of a fighter. You can see it on his face as soon as the other guy starts to fight back. Lashley looks very discouraged and doesn't wanna be in there anymore. The fight itself was close. Lashley easily won round 1 and in rounds two and three were close I guess. Thompson did a look of kneeing and stuff while clinching Lashley against the fence but Lashley landed harder cleaner shots whenever they exchanged and hurt Thompson on a couple of occasions. I would have probably scored it 2-1 Lashley.

It's funny because Lashley in an interview a month ago said that he wants to do boxing and one of the well known black trainer (forget which one) told him that he should be ready for a shot at world heavyweight championship within a year. It's funny really funny how a lot of these respected trainers/fighters think so little of the Klitschkos.
