They take this stuff very seriously. Watch out James, third time and you are out seven months. Now to the sad or funny part: Toney also tested positive for boldenone, which the paper described as a fat-reducing medication for horses and can only be prescribed veterinarians.
He and Batchelder should have been suspended for putting up such a god-awful fight. This was probably even worse than Judah-Witter.
Judging by the Toney that showed up for his last few fights , yes I think Evander could . Evander just needs to be sure his stamina is there. If so , he batters the hell out of a tired Toney in the late rounds. If his stamina is semi good , considering how shitty Toney's has been , Evander takes a decision win.
This is a bullshit move by the California commission. Can anyone give a plausible, reasonable justification?
http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=txxtoneysuspension&prov=st&type=lgns On Monday, the commission voted to reduce Toney's suspension to 180 days, after his promoter spoke on his behalf. No reason was given for the reduction.
A doctor told a guy he had 6 months to live. The guy couldn't pay his bills , doctor gave him another 6 months. Seriously though , they figured if Bonds is getting a free pass , Toney might might as well also. I hear Toney is being gifted back the heavyweight title that he was stripped of after the Ruiz fight. All this is seems to be coming to a head after Bonds broke the record. Actually all roid users that were stripped of any victories or records are no being reinstated into the books. Pete Rose is still fucked though. He bet for his team to win. That is not acceptable.:nono:
Nice. I think there was some logic against Rose that if he bet on his team to win, he might try too hard to win those games and do something detrimental to the team's overall ability to win (i.e. using relievers without an eye to the future). As I remember, this claim didn't hold water because Rose didn't bet on some games, he was betting on all of them...haha.
