Toney was a level above Kessler, and would outclass him - Kessler would take a beating down the stretch, and there's a possibility of JT getting a late stoppage. Kessler was quality in his one dimension, but didn't have versality or creativity in his style. He also had a bad tendency of pulling straight back from shots, and had questionable resistance to body shots. As long as it's a good version of Toney, I don't see how Kessler has any chance.
Agreed. While Kessler was a pretty good fighter he was too basic and predictable for somebody like Toney. Close for the first 3/4 rounds and then JT starts to take over.
