What if Charles had gotten a shot at Louis in 1947, around the time of the first Walcott fight?

I think he definitely could have won... Charles wasn't a big guy when he was a heavyweight, regularly weighed in the 180s, but he still was quite successful there... Louis was operating at a snail's pace by that point... the notion of speed was laughable... but still, the punch was capable of lethal things... Ezzard would have to stick and move... I think he would have been able to do so to THAT Joe Louis... but could he do it TWICE? hmm, Louis had an amazing rematch track record

Charles would still have won then, Louis was ready to be taken. Whether the judges would have given him the decision in a close fight is the only question.
