Hittable ? Vitaly hittable ? LOL Ramozna please if anything Vitaly is extremely hard to hit . Little Joey would swing at air and get knocked the fuck out .
so the 50 pounds and 6 inches here isn't a big deal but in Frazier vs. Tua, 15-20 pounds and a one inch ADVANTAGE is INSURMOUNTABLE :wack:
Frazier was awesome but he had a big problem with Foreman ...obviously... His fights with Ali are for the ages. One of the best left hooks of all time. In my lifetime only to me Floyd Patterson of the heavies had a better one with that leaping left hand. GS
That is actually very debateable you think Louis has an easy time with Joe Frazier? I'd also argue that Frazier had a better chin than Louis, at the very least it wasn't any worse... since you are so obsessed with bringing that up two men floored Joe Frazier... Bonevena (in Joe's 10th pro fight) and George Foreman, that's it Frazier's display of literally insane courage was illustrated in the Foreman fight... SIX times down, SIX times up, stopped on his feet... There was no quit in the man... you make him out to be this helpless Earnie Shavers-with-a-left-hook... it's frankly offensive how twisted your perception of him is Meanwhile, Louis was floored by vastly inferior fighters often with nowhere near the same level of power and he's "100x better" ... It's ridiculous... If you think Joe Louis easily defeats Joe Frazier, you are certifiable... stop disrespecting the man because you are brainwashed by Ali revisionists who seek to whitewash Frazier's victory "Joe Frazier was the roughest and the toughest" -- Ali himself
Vitali. Vitali isn't hittable at all. Louis was. Louis had no end of grief with Buddy Baer in their first fight. Some fine day Romanza will give Vitali credit, but not today. Louis might have more class but so fucking what. My prick has more class than an infected vagina that doesn't mean its going to survive an encounter with one. I don't understand this equating of Primo Carnera with Vitali. Going one better and saying Primo was better.....is lunacy. Vitali is too big and has far too much smarts and too good a chin to go with it. Louis had slow feet, would not get inside fast enough and would cop a beating down the stretch. Vitali inside of 11 rounds.
If getting knocked down multiple times in a fight is a measurement of heart then I have Frazier beat. Willard, Patterson and Firpo are the all time most courageous fighters.
no... getting knocked down by FOREMAN and continuously rising and trying to fight back shows a resolve that is lost on 999 of 1000 fighters Tua says "no thanks, I'll just plod along from here" after he gets hit hard, especially to the body (a Frazier specialty, he was a brutal bodypuncher)
Evidently moving and leaning straight back impresses Irish. "No end of trouble with Buddy Baer," Please. Louis beat the snot out of every big man he ever laid a glove on. Vitali WAS better than Carnera...but hes Willard in hi-def and not one jot better in my extensive analysis of this IMMENSELY over-rated fighter. If youre looking for a kind word about a Klitschko, Irish, youre asking about the wrong brother.
Oh...it's getting knocked down by FOREMAN specifically....Dempsey and the rest aren't relevant here. Now I got ya! Well only 80 guys ever faced George Foreman and so Frazier's in an even more exclusive club. Frazier has the courage of Achilles, my apologies.
I wouldn't go as far as saying he's Willard in high def. I actually think Vitali is a pretty good fighter. But to say he isn't hittable? With that resume? He looked plenty hittable against an old Lewis.
Another thing, Willard was "knocked down" by a man standing over him (as the rules of the time allowed) so his "7" knockdowns are a whole different animal than what Frazier went through Patterson was annihlated by INgemar Johansson, a fighter Joe Frazier would have flattened in about 3 rounds, tops, without ever getting dropped in the first place... Frazier also would have ran right over Patterson Seriously, anyone who thnks Joe Frazier isn;t one of the most courageous fighters who ever lived is a clown
If anything that makes Willard even MORE VALIANT!! Think about it. How difficult it is to get up when your opponent is standing on top of you wating to punch you down again VERSUS seeing your opponent in a neutral corner on the other side of the ring. I'd be like "fuck this shit, I'm staying on the ground". Cdogg187, I'm begging you (because you're the world's coolest Irishman)...don't be a shitcan! :giggle:
the force of the punches is NOWHERE NEAR the same, My Trinidadian-British-Canadian BIG UPS! friend Getting hit on top of the head by a shot that travels 5 inches in a donward direction is nowhere near as neurologically devastating as being shoved back and blasted with the uppercuts of an inhumanly powerful creature like Foreman... and still, Frazier rose and kept trying to get in there... Willard was rising almost as an instinct... Frazier was willing himself up from shots that would have kept anybody down And where was he when it was finally called off? on his feet... he never stopped, he never covered up, he never sought to merely survive... the man's courage was sickening Look at Manila... the guy is already nearly blind in one eye before the fight has even begun... by the 12th, his good eye is shut... still, he comes bounding off of his stool, defiantly coming forward, refusing to fold while being teed off upon by the hardest shots Ali could muster... he refuses to fall, refuses to concede, fueled by his hatred, his immense pride... according to all witnesses in the corner, he furiously protests Eddie Futch's decision to stop the fight... he remains furious with the man for stopping it right up until the day the little old master dies... as George Benton recalled "don't you stop this fucking fight... you better not stop this motherfucking fight" ... a blind man, refusing... "Next to death, I felt like quittin'" says Ali
