Tapia is whiney little bitch, and he's a pussy! If he REALLY wanted to end his life he'd stop with coke, and popping pills and just put a .45 to his temple and pull the trigger! So if you hate your life and wanna die so bad then do that. If not, then stop fuckin crying!

And please nobody gimme that shit bout his troubled past as an excuse. Cause I PERSONALLY know people who've gone through the murder of thier parents, and drug addiction, yet there not attention whores like Johnny. Next time that loser attempts suicide, I truly hope he gets it right.

Its a shame that a guy like Chico who was trying to turn around his life is dead, then this fuckin bum who doesnt even wanna live is still breathing.

 

Probably Tapia. Mike doesnt strike me as the type who would attempt suicide. Tyson may some day get MURDERED, but I dont think he'd committ suicide. Of course I cant be sure of that cause I dunno him personally. I hope its Tapia though, Mike isnt nearly the attention whore Johnny is.

 

I hear what X is saying, and to a degree, I think he is right concerning Johnny.
He is a far cry now than he was when he was considered one of the top 10 fighters in the world over a decade ago after whipping Danny Romero in the biggest fight between little guys in decades.
Johnny was considered to be in the company of Jones, Whitaker, Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Trinidad, Oscar, and Chavez after that win.
Had Tapia been able to keep it together upstairs, he could have been another Bobby Chacon in historical terms perhaps, and gone down in history as one of the most exciting fighters ever.

 

I wouldn't go quite that far, but that reminds me of a thread i created a few years back asking to name exciting fighters with little to no punching power. Most everyone had Tapia in their lists. Usually guys that can't punch try to play the defensive cutey game and stink the place out ala Cory Spinks. Tapia is one of the very few sub featherweight fighters i enjoyed watching.

 

i think Tapia's decline as a fighter had more to do with age than anything else. it's not like he wasted a bunch of years. he just got old. especially when you consider that he was a junior bantam-weight.

i think it's amazing what he did accomplish given his drug problems. he was champ for a while, grew out of a couple of divisions, and really, couldn't compete at 126. i don't think his career could've been much better than it was, even had it not been for the drugs.

 

chico battered his pregnat wife. that worst than taking drugs and hurting your self. I don't wanna talk shit about Chico cause he is dead and deserves respect. But it's silly to knock Tapia as a pussy when what Chico Did is far worst.

Turning his life around? the last interview I saw with Goosen he was pretty pissed about Chico owed him money and talked about what a scumba he turned out to be even after all Goosen did for him.

He was also separating from his wife so clearly that wasn't going well.

I don't see how you can paint this role model picture of of Chico and knock Tapia.

Johnny definately has his demons, I don't see a good end for him. After watching the interview on Real Sports I feel sorry most for his wife.

She looks like she really went downhill in the four years since the last time they were interviewed together. She looked like a completely differant person. The 4 years did not treat her well.

You can tell that Johnny has pretty much trapped her with his constant threats of suicide. She seems like a strong woman but Johnny is wearing her down. I bet it would be a relief to her if he ever succeeded with his death wish.

 

I can't wait for this loser to die.

Tapia could be pretty fun to watch for his skills, he was a pretty graceful boxer.

It's a very sad story, the threats of suicide on Johhny's part is pretty fucked up. And very selfish.

And even more fucked up, I can easily see it being a murder-suicide type thing if she left him.

 

Yeah, it's pretty impressive what he did with all the drug problems.

He was inactive from boxing from age 23 until 27, and he was a small guy. Those generally should be the peak years for a fighter at that size (or even a tad younger).

Can it regina. Tapia is a complete loser and should be euthanized. Chico did a loser thing but he wasn't a loser. Tapia is a loser. His wife is a loser for supporting him. The best thing a women can do is pick her man and she showed she couldn't even give up the only commodity she has, her pussy, wisely.
