Thoughts??? This one is curious because Zab at his best with his advantages in hand speed and power could do some serious damage. Taylor would have to impose his will. I pick Zab. The version of Judah who beat Spinks (Though that was at 147) IMO stops Taylor late.
Agreed. Taylor is a good matchup for Judah. Zab did well against fellow southpaws. He found it easier to land his left cross on them. I can't help but think that Josh tries to force a grueling fight on Judah, and walks into some big counters he doesn't recover from. Prime Judah by stoppage.
Depends which Judah shows up. Prime Judah looked far more impressive than Josh Taylor but he was always the kind of fighter to not want to give it his all. A more focused Judah can beat Taylor with his athletic talents but Taylor can also give Judah hell with his constant workrate and ruggedness that can put him in a shell.
Judah was pretty sharp and disciplined in the Corley fight. Mind you, that was back when Corley was still a top 10 junior welter and not a stepping stone. Zab made him look ordinary. Zab fighting with that kind of discipline would be too talented for Taylor. Like I said, Zab seemed to do well against souhpaws.
Based on tonight...yeah, Zab in his prime would have definitely stopped Taylor. I'm pretty fucking confident in saying that. Taylor would be totally incapable of avoiding Zab's power shots, and he'd be overwhelmed by the handspeed.
I was just thinking about this one. If I was a promoter for Zab this would be the fight I’d go out of my way to make. Taylor is perfect for him.
