But the money still needs to be found for it, according to Dan Rafael:

JMM's not comfortable unless he's fighting in Indonesia for no pay.

Don't be surprised if JMM's handlers rule out Houston but approve a fight in Juan Diaz's actual backyard.............out by the pool and just inside the picket fence.

Diaz is going to win. It is interesting to me that Marquez wants to be picky about where the fight is held. You have to fight where you can draw some people if you want to make any money. Where else can these 2 draw? :notallthere:

This is a very tough match and I'm pumped up for this one. I like both fighters and Diaz's pressure is astounding. But Juan Manuel Marquez is something special. He'll be bothered early by Diaz's work rate, but I think his precision punching will get inside of Diaz's guard and earn him a split decision victory. Then we can see Marquez school the pony for a third time and hopefully get his well deserved victory.

I'm surprised by the Diaz picks. He's simply not very good.

I think some of you are being swayed by him beating that retard Katsidis, and forgetting his 1 sided arse kicking by Nate.

And in his 135 pound debut, Marquez was pretty fucking impressive, scoring a KO over Casamayor.

This is nothing like Vic - Mijares, because Marquez is 10 times the fighter Mijares is, and also Juan Diaz hits like a schoolgirl, and is slow to boot.

Very hard fight to choose. I have no clue how JMM will handle Diaz's pressure. Its all about styles. Who knows?

I'm also pretty shocked by all the people picking Diaz and thinking he's some kind of pressure fighter. Isn't there an ingredient a fighter needs to have to be labled a pressure fighter? Like I don't know...uh the ability to hurt your oponent. JMM is going to flatten Diaz and then maybe team Diaz can set Diaz up with a fight against Pacquaio after that.

He already had his soft touch when he beat up Katsidis.

While JMM was impressive against Casa, you seriously have to consider the shotness of Casamayor. He got beat up by Jose Armando Santa Cruz! If Marquez does win, it will not be any kind of blow out or walk in the park. Diaz has a very good shot here IMO.

it was neither one. He wasn't in his prime but he wasn't shot.

I think Diaz might bother JMM at times with his volume of punches. Obviously not by his power.

Either way JMM beats him. I don't know about stopping Diaz because he took his beating by Campbell and never quit. So I can respect Diaz' ability to take punches.

JMM by decision. But if the fight is in Houston than the scorecards can get funny.

I agree that's where the fight will sell the most.

But JMM has been in the wrong end of some close decisions. The last thing he wasn't to do as a champion is go to this kid's backyard and lose a decision.

But I think the fight will still take place at Houston. At the end Goldenboy calls the shots. As long as JMM is happy with his purse he will fight him.

This is a great fight and I can't wait for it to take place. I think that this could be a classic. My early prediction is Diaz. I think that his relentless attacking style will be too much for JMM. However it won't be a by much and we could all be crying for a rematch. I'll Holla 5000

Juan is in over his head. I do trust Karl's judgement and would like to hear him weigh in as he knows Juan quite well.... For the life of me I can't see what Diaz could do to Marquez.

Juan has the pressure to bring but it would be like Hatton pressuring Mayweather. M is an elite guy and one of the best p4p guys out there... but for the grace of a few judges he has Pacquio's spot and vice versa. JUan is not fast, accurate, or savy enough to deal with this level that I can see.

What are you talking about man? To suggest Diaz isn't a pressure fighter is honestly one of the stupidest things I have ever read on here. What is he?

Do you even know what pressure is?
