Roldan takes him out within 5 rounds. In terms of raw power, Roldan hit harder at 160 than Tito did. Joppy would get murked.
Come on X! You know better than that. You have a tendency to overrate Hagler's opponents to the detriment of modern fighters. Tito was a devastating punch even at 160, not on Jackson/Hearns/McClellan level...sure, but CERTAINLY above Roldan. Roldan was a solid puncher, like a Barkley, but NOT the explosiveness of a Trinidad.:nono:
I don't think there is any doubt that Roldan punched harder @ 160 than did Trinidad. It's got no relevance to this fight though, cos Roldan wasn't as good as Tito and could be outboxed and hurt himself. Joppy is horribly underrated and he makes this a real fight, competing evenly with Roldan before being stopped on swelling late in the fight.
Tito had better technique and accuracy than Roldan, but NOT heavier hands. Roldan was just as, if not more explosive even though he lacked Tito's technique. Its debatable who hits harder between the two, but whats NOT debatable is that Roldan would fuck Joppy up badly. Too strong, and powerful for that Kirk Franklin lookin muthafucka.
Joppy's not underrated. None's ever called him a bum or anything. But he DID beat up bums his entire title reign until he fought Tito. I dont think he has the chin, or defense to deal with a puncher like Roldan. Hell, I think Antwun Echols woulda KO'd Joppy.
