I think this fight will end faster then the first via knockout. I just dont think Juanma will make the necessary changes to avenge his loss. He has been regressing and seems to be sloppier then ever. I see Salido landing a devastating counter and leaving Juanma out.

Isn't Salido on the verge of being shot by now? He's been around a long time now seemingly. I wouldn't be surprised to find this match-up timed perfectly to coincide with Salido being completely past it, and Lopez winning without too much trouble.

It's good to see Lopez make the rematch though. It's amazing how badly one loss can hurt a fighter's reputation these days. Hopefully, by avenging his loss Lopez can regain a lot of the momentum he had.

But he's definitely vulnerable. We saw that long before Salido got to him.

Meanwhile, Salido is due all kinds of respect himself for the success he's had. He stood in tough with JMM, and beat the Guerrero too.

Straight after the fight, it was pretty obvious that Salido would bash him again. Lopez simply isn't very good, he's been horrendously overrated since day one, with one admittedly good win over Ponce, catching him cold.

You may have a point though, I haven't seen it, but apparently Salido was knocked down twice and hurt in his most recent fight, by a guy who was 14-4 with a 40% KO ratio.

Regarding Salido being past it, well that would be odd, he's had about 40 fights and he's only 31. A solid career, but nothing compared to Marquez for example, who is 38 and still an elite fighter, with 60 fights under his belt.

Maybe he just severely underestimated his "gimme" opponent and barely trained or something?

With no changes to the corner, I cant see Juanma winning.

I agree. His defense is horrible. He needs someone that can help him correct so many defensive holes. He's been getting worst.

I hat Juanma....first he is not that good....2nd he has never tried to correct some of his problems(get a new trainer/corner jab more, throw less lead left hands, lead right hooks, BOX MORE, counter punch more)....3rd he is a coward little bitch always moving up or away from competition(Gamboa and Caballero)....It became obvious he wanted nothing to do with those guys, after every fight he would hint toward a possible fight, but weeks later he would schedule a fight against an average fighter.

Salido didn't beat Guerrero fair and square. He cheated. His 'win' was rightfully taken away.

The only other time, afaik, that Salido has performed on the level of his Guerrero performance was against JM Lopez. Hmmm.

What are you suggesting? If it's what I think, it's a pretty big leap to make, wouldn't you say? Especially considering JuanMa showed plenty of vulnerability prior to facing Salido.

Plus, Salido has had success beside the Guerrero and Juanma fight.

2 years ago I would have pick Juanma with no hesitation. However Gamboa has been improving his defense and shorting his punches, he used to be wild with his punches and often off balance he has improve. Juanma has not improved his hand speed has slowdown, he is as dumb as ever and still seem to think he is the shit.

He should do like Cotto get the fuck out of PR while he train, get a new trainer actually get a whole new teams get rid of all his cousin and uncles in his entourage.

I'm suggesting that I think Salido's performance vs JMM was unfairly enhanced. Do I know that for sure? No. Do I have any evidence? Like I said, I've only seen him have one other performance so good and it was due to cheating.

I agree. A few years ago i would have also picked Juanma. Like you mentioned however Gamboa has been improving while Juanma has been getting dumber by the fight.

Gamboa would have always beat the living shit out of Lopez. Two clearly different levels of fighter.
