http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=18172 This would be another nice Welterweight scrap with the winner fighting Berto. I think this is a toss up fight. Berto needs to get back in there with Collazo again.
GOOD Fight for Both...Instead of Being STAGNANT, Waiting for Bigger Names to Face them, they're Facing Each Other... REED:hammert:
I hope Judah drops his dad and hires another trainer.. Mcgirt, Roach, or someone else.. His problem to me has always been his corner because all they do is massage his ego.. If he gets another trainer I would pick him in this fight but if he doesn't Quintana has a great chance at winning..
south-paw vs. south-paw. usually makes for an awkward fight. instead of one guy being at a disadvantage, the right hander who would normally face the southpaw, you have two guys who are both as a disadvantage because neither has fought more than a handful of southpaws, if that. i just wish Judah could still make 140. i think he could rule the division there if he could.
Zab Judah is orsumb, he shoulda coulda woulda shoulda, he's got a chance early,.. blinding handspeed, speed kills, he'll get it all together in dis fight, then it's super-fight time for super quick slick Zab!
I strongly favor Quintana at this point. If we were talking about the Judah from the Spinks rematch, then I'd pick Zab, but Judah is far removed from that fighter.
More like Quintana is a better fighter than Spinks and hits harder. Forget about Zab being far removed from that fighter. Let's not forget he'd just got finished losing to Spinks and some say Pineda before he beat Spinks by knock-out in a fight he probably was losing on the cards. Judah was just never that good at 147. Period. He's not strong enough. And not durable enough. As long as he stays at 147, he'll continue to lose fights. Including this one.
Zab has so much natural talent- great handspeed, power, footwork, everything. He just needs to put it all together again like he used to back in the day and he wins this fight, no problem. MTF
Right, but at 140 he could RULE. :: Fact is, Zab wasn't as bad as 147 as you make him seem and he wasn't as good at 140 as you wished he was. He was a mediocre fighter; incredible talent, minimal skills, no brain and a poor chin. If you factor in that Zab is older now, has recieved a couple of bad beatings and isn't as sharp as he used to and it's hard to even give him a valid chance right now over anyone decent. Prime Spinks beats Quintana BTW.
Why does Zab Judah still exist? Why is he still a name? The guy is a joke... front-running cheapshot with a crystal jaw, all speed and no skills I agree with Whiskey, Judah should be fighting a huge puncher with a mean streak Judah is one of the biggest "Never-was" fighters of all time
My hatred for him runs strong. I'm glad i have one who shares in it. If we combine our hatred there's no telling what evils we can inflict. :bears:
:mj: Yes, he is the worst! I can not stand him, he is incredibly annoying Everything about him, his stupid face, those teeth, ugh, I hate the guy He talks so much shit, and taunts his opponents, but he has been beaten by every elite fighter he has faced, why is he talking so much shit?
Because "he has talent" i guess. :dunno: That's more the reason to hate him as far as i'm concerned. He's scum. If i knew any Colombian drug lords i would call them and tell them that Zab is an informer for the police. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if he was.
:: Man, remember when he was coming up and they would say that??? I got real excited hearing about him, and the first time I saw him fight I was ready to see this defensive genius with machine gun hands and a KO punch... Instead I saw this very fast, unskilled, showboating clown who was clearly full of flaws but was carefully matched against slow, old guys he could easily beat to the punch Whitaker was a beautiful boxer, an artist in the ring... Judah was more like Naseem Hamed with less of a chin and less power, but the same attitude
And yet not as good. I never liked Hamed but at least he "brought something" to boxing. Also he never would have had a tough fight with a guy like Baldomir. Remember Zab getting mad afterwards? He basically said he was pissed because Don King didn't pay off the judges for him. :crying::laughing:
I would sign Zab to fight Vitali next. I would have Capetillo wrap Vitali's one hand and Panama Al Lewis wrap the other. Also instead of 10 counts for knockdowns, i would raise it to 50.
Margarito is a cheating bum though right? Or is he good? Make up your mind people! :: In any case, it doesn't matter. Spinks is by far the more accomplished fighter at this point.
