yup.......then after Margarito gets destroyed by Cotto...he can always go back for his title vs. Judah...

    Judah beat Clottey....

    Cotto beat Margarito...

    Margarito beat Judah...

    Margarito champ again.....

Can you define "destroyed" so I can know what to expect in July?

I'm guessing Judah would be the (possibly narrow) favorite.

Me too, and if that's the case I'll drop some on Zab.

But, Judah is the name here, and if Vegas wants money to come in on Clottey they'll probably have to start the line with Clottey as more than a slight dog.

He shouldn't be favored at all and if he is I will bet Clottey. Judah is done.

Clottey seems like a bad style for him, plus I wonder where his heads going to be at given it's a consolation game for Judah.

    Think....

    Trinidad vs. Hopkins......

    Corrales vs. Mayweather...

    Pavlik vs. Miranda...

    Calzaghe vs. Lacy...

Judah's head will always be a problem, but I'm not sure he would view this as a consolation. I mean it is for a title.

Tito vs Hopkins is a good enough definition of destroyed and dominated.

    then just think of

    Calzaghe vs. Lacy...

Cotto is going to counter the shit out of him early...start pushing him back/punish him in the mid rounds...by round 8-9 Margarito will be nothing more than a human punching bag....or Joe King....

what a piss poor example. cotto isnt as dynamic as calzaghe nor is margarito as shitty as lacy.

by round 8 or 9, margarito will be the one unloading punches.

I have never quite understood why people say this. Trinidad got his ass kicked bad the last few rounds. However for most of the first 8-9 rounds Hopkins was boxing a pretty boring fight. There's a lot of other fights that come to my mind as guys who get destroyed and dominated. I think that fight was a schooling yes but not a beatdown as bad as people make out. Hopkins boxed a lot.

It's a horrible style matchup for him IMO. Clottey should win a pretty wide decision.

If Cotto, the significnatly smaller fighter, is the one backing Margarito up and punishing him late in that fight and gets a stoppage I'd give him a ton of credit.

Like you, I don't see it quite like that.

Margarito is a better fighter over the second half of fights and given the way he fought the second half against Mosley I am very interested to see what Cotto looks from rounds 6-12.

I also think he came in light against Gomez...if he did, I don't think he does it against Margarito.

Bad fight for Judah. It's another one of those "it depends on which Judah shows up" fights. He will have to bring his A game if he wants to beat Clottey. Not that Clottey is anything special but he's strong and durable if nothing else. Judah is far more skilled, but lacks the toughness.

    It's a pick'em IMO.

judahs big dome head is always an issue

especially when people start bouncing punches off of it

how does judah go from fighting mosley to getting a title shot?

shane put up a great performance against cotto, he should fight clottey

Mosley would probably prefer a bigger money fight than fighting Clottey for a title.

    Mosley-Clottey isn't a ppv fight.

You're dreaming if you think youre going to catch Clottey as a dog in this fight. No sane book opens with Judah as fave.
