I'd guess in his prime, Judah could have made 135.
Way too many 145 lb day of fight weights. Way too many 138 lbs weigh ins.

judah is finished as a top fighter. 147 or 140, it won't make a difference. it didn't help chris byrd did it?

I agree except Judah was never a top fighter and never will be. If he were from anywhere butNew York, he be at best an opponent on Showtime.

Judah should be calling out Paulie. Thats his only chance for a belt. A shame Paulie loses that in a little while...and then whats he going to do? Go looking for Kendall Holt?

and Malignaggi could be a good New York fight too

Juday also lost at 140 his biggest fight against Tszy.

His losses have nothing to do with the weight. At 140 or 147 he lost because he lost his head during fights. Or he fought better oponents.

Maybe he can win a belt at 140 but it won't mean shit and he won't hold on to it for long.

TODAY'S Version of Zab would BEAT TODAY's Version of Hatton...As Loooooooong as Dropping Back Down Doesn't COMPROMISE Zab's Speed, Strength, Stamina & Power...

Actually ANY Version of Zab would've Been a Stylistic NIGHTMARE for Hatton...Sure, Zab's Always been a 4-5 Round Fighter, but REED ISN'T Sure that even a PRIME Hatton would've Lasted that Long w/a PRIME Zab...

What exactly was a 'prime Zab', how long did it exist and in what universe? :dunno:

  10. mikE

It was a devastating fighter--p4p type guy.
    It lasted for 45 seconds.
It was the universe of the tszyu fight.

Judah looked brilliant when he tore up Cory Spinks. Good performance and a wicked fight.

There's a reason I'm not "remotely objective" about Zab Judah and thats because people like you have overrated his worthless ass his entire career. He's super fast, hits hard and.....fuck all else. Never was and certainly won't ever will be at this point.

Paulie already vacated his title, Urango and Ngoudjo gonna fight for it

IMO Judah gets a raw deal from the majority of people. The guy is a good boxer with all the attributes to make it at the highest level.

Unfortunately he has suffered due to a lack of guidance in his career.

I still think he could do something at 140.

  17. salaco

I agree, I think he should get a high profile HBO payday against one of the titleholders at 140 to mark his return to the weightclass, its the least he deserves really

  18. Tam Tam

    Tam Tam "Twinkle Toes" McJack

WTF. The guy has lost THREE CONESCUTIVE TITLE FIGHTS and a loss to Mayweather in there with it....and he deserves MORE? Go and get fucked. All of you. Fucking undead cunts.

    Wasn't being serious.

Judah is a never was, and its been a serious case of diminshing returns in recent fights, not interested in seeing him again actually

Nah, U're Not "Remotely Objective" Based on YOUR OWN Personal Issues w/Zab, Dude...

On the Other Hand, U'll GLADLY Hype Up Cats like Anthony Mundine, Vic Darchinyan or Michael Katsidis when they've Accomplished NOWHERE NEAR as Much as Zab has...Nor will they EVER...

A "Never Was" Won Titles N 2 DIFFERENT Weight Classes & was UNDISPUTED @ 1 of those Weights???...

    Yeah, O.K...

That's PART of it...Another Part is a Lack of MATURITY on Zab's Part...

But U're Right, Zab DOES Get a "Raw Deal"...Guys wanna Relegate him to BUM Status DESPITE what he's Accomplished....

Is Zab "Great", Hell NO...& there's Only a Select FEW Fighters that REED would FAVOR Zab to Beat these Days, but that DOESN'T Diminish what's Been a Pretty Good Career...

The Guy has a Damn GOOD Resume, yet Only 1 Fighter has EVER Walked THRU Zab...& that had a Bit of Controversy to it...

REED Isn't Suggesting that Zab "Deserves" Anything...But R YOU Willing to Bet the House that Zab WON'T Beat Ricky Hatton???...

That's an INTRIGUING Fight that Really COULD Go Either Way...

If Hatton could crush Tsyzu, Hatton can beat Judah. I don't think it's a stylistic nightmare at all. Hatton would take his space and work him over till Judah falls or quits. Sort of like the Judah/Cotto fight. Except I see Hatton driving in some vicious shots to Judah's ribs and hurting him real bad! Wouldn't be surprised if Hatton took him out early.

You must mean the rematch...in the interim, he almost lost to Rafael Pineda.

  27. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

Yes, I was obviously referring to the rematch Einstein. When I said Judah "tore him up", that MUST mean the rematch since Judah lost the first fight.

& Since Hearns DESTROYED Duran & Hagler STRUGGLED w/Duran, Hearns Should WHIP Hagler, Right???...

The Tszyu Fights have NO BEARING Whatsoever on How Zab vs. Hatton would Play Out:nono:...Apples & Oranges...

Hattons been HURT, DROPPED & KO'ed by LESSER Punchers w/SLOWER Hands than Zab...N Hatton's Last 2 Fights we've seen This...

Sure, Hatton COULD KO Zab, but it WOULDN'T B Early...But Hatton Could Also Get TAGGED w/Some Uppercuts, Trying to Take Zab's "Space"...

The point I'm making is that Judah is consistently inconsistent. After a gimme against Rivera he came right back and lost to Baldomir.

For every moment the guy looks "brilliant" you can point to two where he looks awful.
